Good morning everyone! Merry Christmas and happy day to everyone! I stopped by yesterday, but ran out of time to answer. The family is going to be arriving this afternoon so we're expecting total chaos and happiness! This is the first Christmas that some of our grandkids understand what's going on so we're looking forward to seeing their excited faces. We're all having a hand in preparing a feast of surf and turf dinner so I'd better get busy!

Having a cup of java while thinking of what has to be done today. As long as God gives me the strength to do all of this, I am more than happy to do it, but I am taking more shortcuts this year. Fortunately, I do get plenty of help. It's funny that folks don't seem to notice the shortcuts cause I started taking them a couple of years ago, and all went well.

We're having an early Christmas dinner at friend's home tonight cause they'll be out of town for Christmas!

Java is just about done, so I'd better get started!

I never seem to get it all done, but at some point I just throw up my hands and say enough! And it always is.

Yesterday, I spent the better part of the Sunny and Warm 60o day doing yard cleanup, mulching and bagging leaves and debris .. got the final leaf fall of the Season cleaned up .. yaaa ..

Settled in after having some grub and watched the FX Movie "A Christmas Carol" .. now, this 3 hour and 45 minute movie (with commercials) is really, really a very dark take on Dickens .. not going to be everyone's thing, IOW .. it's got some "language", it's just a dark tale, bordering on Horror and sometimes not just bordering ..

That said, it's pretty good stuff .. I have been a Fan of many of the various TV movies / Films over the years, I always particularly liked the George C. Scott version from the 1980's .. "Scrooged" with Bill Murray was good, it's a long list ..

At any rate, if you are in the mood for a completely different re-telling of the Classic ::

A Christmas Carol on FX

I stumbled onto this show in the middle and loved it. It was so dark and I wasn't sure what to think in the beginning, but glad I stuck with it. Now we want to see it from the beginning. We thought it was very well done and answers a lot of questions about Scrooge.

Good morning/afternoon all. I had another vaping casualty this morning. I went to put my Aegis Solo with a Kayfun V3 Mini on top into my shirt pocket and totally missed my pocket. Hire the handicapped, we're fun to watch! The mod did a 180° flip and landed on concrete. The tank snapped off the mod leaving the base of the tank screwed into the mod. No damage at all to the Solo. I guess the upside is that at least I have more spare parts for my remaining Kayfuns. Oh well, this is exactly why I have so many spare Kayfun Minis in my stash drawer.

I agree. It is very nice to have so much Kayfun stuff hanging around. A sense of security, I guess. Been having some urges to smoke, but coffee or iced mint tea stops it.

As some of you already know...I absolutely hate having pics taken of me. So, I've debated half the day as to whether I should post this... It was Christmas Eve, the libations were flowing freely and Granddaughter wanted a a pic of her eccentric grandmother with the orchid colored hair... I'm not so foolish as to think it makes me look any younger, that was not my attempt, and just plain not possible... It's only a bit of silly fun with my hair...

Thank you! I mentioned doing this a year ago, and both grandchildren jumped on it, kept bugging me to do it...so I did, and they are of the opinion that I'm super cool with my hair this color...

We had quite the Christmas here!!!! Son and family came down with the flu and so we had to postpone all our plans.......it turned out to be just my man and myself cause daughter and sil were out of town, so looks like we'll have Christmas next week with all 11 family members!
My daughter's mil passed about a month ago, and they wanted to spend Christmas Day with his dad so he wouldn't be alone.

The two of us had a MOST relaxing and very pleasant day watching movies and just 'be'ing.... simply riding the flow!

Syndee is getting ready to go to her managers to pick up our turkey. He deep-fried our turkey for us, all I had to do was buy the peanut oil. I will be getting the remainder ready for dinner.
Yesterday evening I had a friend drop by for a visit. We were trainers together before I retired. He invited Syndee and I to his property tomorrow in an attempt to fill our freezer with venison. I have spent today getting gear together along with the 4-wheeler.
It has been a busy day and I'm ready for a break.
