As some of you already know...I absolutely hate having pics taken of me. So, I've debated half the day as to whether I should post this... It was Christmas Eve, the libations were flowing freely and Granddaughter wanted a a pic of her eccentric grandmother with the orchid colored hair... I'm not so foolish as to think it makes me look any younger, that was not my attempt, and just plain not possible... It's only a bit of silly fun with my hair...

We had quite a Christmas here yesterday. For a special dinner I got a great deal on a whole beef tenderloin and trimmed it up into filet mignon's for everyone. Twice baked potatoes and baked brussel sprouts were to complete the meal, but the kids showed up with lobster tails, crab cakes, Irish soup, rolls and salad and a special drink called a Coquito. All for 6 adults and 5 kids. Of course the kids went crazy with their new toys and playing together while 1 year old Brody was toddling around like Jello Man in awe of everything. Chaos and bedlam reigned!! Could you hear all the commotion? They all left about 7:30 to get the kids home to bed so the sudden quiet was profound.

One of the best things we did this year is instead of pollyanna gifts for the adults we all drew names and then made a donation to a charity they thought their pollyanna would appreciate. It was nice because each person described the charity and why they chose it and I even found a meaningful charity nobody had heard of. Since Brian is now working as an airline pilot there are a few charities providing volunteer pilots and planes for medical and other needs. Pretty cool.

Janet what is a Polyanna gift?

A pollyanna is 1 persons name that you draw from a pool of names (in our case the adult family members) and you only buy for that one person instead of buying for everyone. Often there's a $ limit on the gift. Instead of buying for our pollyannas this year we chose to make a donation in that person's name.

Morning! Hey, got a 20yr female close relative looking for an apartment in your area. Please let me know if you see or hear of anything? Tx
I don't get out and about much, but what I did notice when walking was that Stout Associates Realtors seems to manage a good number of them that are close by...You might try calling them at 610-921-3141...

Good afternoon everyone! I hope everyone has a good day today!

We drove home today. It was bittersweet. We missed our cats but it'll be months till we see my 88 year old parents again. It was a great holiday just being able to spend a week with them! I truly love my parents and I know how lucky I am to still be able to spend time with them.
