Meet Me in St Louie Louie
Hola .. :)

Rain most of the night .. more, much more, coming ..

The durn City, for some unknown reason, decided to install a new streetlight near my home the other day .. it now glares thru my bedroom window at night .. the blinds I have don't do enough to keep the room dark now .. so, I'm either hitting Lowes for new blinds or I'm hitting AutoZone for a sheet of window darkening film .. of course, the potholes remain, but hey, it's a new streetlight ..

Good morning. I've decided that Christmas is bad for my health. Not only did I gain a few pounds, but yesterday I got up from the couch and threw my back out. That's what I get for cleaning up Christmas decorations. Fortunately my trusty TENS has saved the day. The back is much better this morning. I'll be able to enjoy my cereal milk this morning.

Oh, I think a few of us have put on a few pounds over the holiday. It's the leftover goodies and foodie gifts that got me in the most trouble. :)
My back is fine cause Peter does most of the heavy work, but it doesn't stop me from doing all the detail work. I've learned to take it very slow cause fast just ain't my speed any more!

Hope your back feels better soon with the TENS!

And a chance of seeing the potholes before the descent :)

Blackout curtains, maybe?

One develops a certain Driving Style, designed to avoid known Potholes .. although, some seem deep enough that a count is required before a tire hits bottom ..

I'm leaning toward dark window film as it really won't disrupt my room Feng Shui ..

We got black out curtains (or room darkening) for the 2 bedrooms where the cribs are and they work wonderfully.
They hang by large grommets so are super easy to thread on a rod. I liked them so much I'm going to order some for the 3rd room. Sure beats trying to cover the window with a dark table cloth.

Why waste perfectly good tin foil on a window. ..
Never know when you'll need to wrap a brisket or pork shoulder.
Or want a new hat,, or underwear,,, tin foil undies are all the rage in Paris I hear.

Pellet rifle or .22, one shot, get a good laugh too.

Sheesh man, tin foil on a window, have you ever smoked a rib roast for 1 - 2 hours then wrapped it tightly with foil & return to smoker till done?
If not, you haven't lived, yet.
Proper useage of foil is important.

A while ago I posted a couple of pics of magnets I used under my desk for easy access to a pistol. I like the process so well that I went online and found some that can be used in vehicles for easy access. The cost has come down quite a bit since I saw them a few years ago. I did an Amazon search and decided to buy this set of two. They can be attached to many surfaces and comes with 3M two-sided heavy-duty tape. I'm just not sure how the tape will hold up during the summer heat in a vehicle during our hot summers.

For total dark, you can cover the windows with aluminum foil. They are not pretty, and can be very noisy in the slightest breeze.

Maybe I shouldn't have bothered to post this.

Do people just have some kind of grudge against dark window film .. ?? :p I'll admit, I don't particularly care for the folks that have their vehicles so darkly filmed that I don't know how they see anything, especially at night ..

It just seems to me it's an unobtrusive solution ..
