'Morning everyone...

And...of course I had to be up early this morning... Got yet another looky loo scheduled to come this morning. The past couple of months there have been 8 scheduled and only one bothered to show up. I told management it would be nice if they had at least the courtesy of notifying people when they cancel, though I doubt they care how much they inconvenience anyone...

Good morning!

Probably won't be reading back to get caught up. My first day up after a 3 day bout of food poisoning from icing on a cake, of all things. My friend and I both got it only hers was from green icing but mine was from red icing.....who would'a thought!!! Extremely bizarre!!! In all my years......and there have been many......I've never had an experience like that and don't ever want it again. Thing is, I usually don't eat sweets but it was part of 'Birthday Month'.....well, there goes that!

I had a person suggest I read "Only Time Will Tell" the first part of seven in the Clifton Chronicles by Jeffrey Archer .. I'd never read any of his work, nor had I ever heard of him ..

I'm about 3/4th's of the way through Book One and it is absolutely a wonderful read ..

Just remember "Cake"(Lemon/Banana - Banana Nut/Zucchini Bread/Brownies/etc to name a few) - Good . . . Icing w/dairy - Not Good . . .

Welcome back ... who'd have thought the cake icing could/would cause food poisoning. That's bizarre.

YEP - However, many a Cake Icing is made with either a Buttercream/Cream Cheese/Whipped cream. . . Given this if a "Cake"(or even cupcakes) with one of these "Frostings' is left out for long periods of time without refrigeration - Ya' can get food poisoning . . . Example:

Food poisoning can occur after eating butter cream frosting if the butter cream was sour or if the icing was cross-contaminated from the utensils or other ingredients used to make the frosting. If you have food poisoning, your symptoms will develop anywhere from four to 24 hours after eating the contaminated frosting.

Surprise....the realtor today actually showed up! Quite amusing as he only wanted to watch me put the finishing touches on my painting, while telling me how his wife wanted to paint, so he converted half of their finished basement into a studio, the family gifted her with everything one could want to paint with, and...she hasn't picked up a brush in over two years..LOL

The word prompt was Rats!! and all my pea brain could think of was James Cagney saying "You dirty rats!". So...went with the reference pic this time...

Well, that was the day before. I just asked and according to Alexa it's 9 days till Spring. Mike and I had appointments this morning so while we were out and about we saw daffodils and the forsythia is about to bloom. The other day we noticed a whole front yard covered in blooming crocus. Woohoo! Seems like every time we go out there's something new to see. I just love Spring!

Yiddle, I want to pet that little guy you use painted. And the berries look good enough to eat! You know, you might mention to that realtor that you'd be more than happy to take his wife's supplies off her hands. I's a shame to let it go to waste especially if you're trying to get a painting done each week.

Thanks, Bea........yes, was feeling back to normal this morning, thank God, enough to bowl with my league this morning.......when I got home, my kids and cuz and friends were there and surprised the daylights out of me with a birthday surprise party. My daughter is a whiz at prepping parties so she, hubby and friends got the house ready in 2.5 hours while I was gone. What a glorious way to begin my 8th decade on this earth.
I am so blessed!!! Everyone left about 5ish and I am whooped but feel glowing.
