Had my 6-month checkup at the VA yesterday .. it appears I should be around for at least another 6-months .. .. my DR did schedule me for an upper body MRI, more as a precautionary issue than anything .. stating "At your age, it won't hurt to take a look just to see if anything out of the ordinary shows up .." ..
I watched POTUS on the tube last night .. maybe it's just me, but he was anything but reassuring, he seemed uncomfortable as hell ..
I think folks poo pooed my obvious early on Paranoia on Coronavirus as "fear mongering" .. well, no, it was just my own Paranoia .. yet, as we speak, things continue to play out like a Sci Fi movie ..

Apparently, the entire country of Italy has, essentially, shut down ..
I have no idea if this portends things to come, but, what I do know is folks are at the cusp, or already there, of Panic Mode .. yesterday evening, my neighbor called and asked if I had a good supply of TP, since, apparently, it was flying off the shelves locally .. well, yes, I have about 60 double rolls, not just because I believe in always being ready for an Apocalypse, but when I can get a good deal, I take it .. I've got another 40 double rolls at the Workshop ..
Personally, I take this virus threat quite seriously .. and, I believe anyone of Mature Age should do the same .. or any age, for that matter ..
It does not hurt to be prepared for any scenario .. and, hopefully, you won't, ultimately, need to be prepared .. but, you should be, IMO ..
There is a wave criss-crossing this Country right now, it is evidenced all around you .. it's not just Media hype, it's real .. public gatherings are being shut down, Wall Street is in turmoil ..
"Be Prepared" was the motto when I was a Boy Scout back in the Revolutionary War Days .. .. when I served, it was our collective motto .. it remains my motto to this day ..

Last night the news was covering the B-ball game that was canceled between the Utah Jazz and OKC Thunder. One of the Utah team members has the virus. I suspect that we are not being told all there is to know. Then again, it might just be my paranoia. Now would not be a good time for anyone to read Stephen Kings' The Stand.

I don't believe we are being told all .. from what I understand, there is a news release clampdown in effect as to what "Officials" are allowed to say without prior clearance ..
Now, some may say "Well, they just need to make sure they are all on the same page before releasing info .." .. I say, let the CDC and the Health Dept experts be allowed to do their jobs, without filtration .. and, why is VPOTUS in charge .. ?? What credentials does he have .. ??
The run on toilet paper isn't just local... Last week's word prompt to paint included the word "gold". An Aussie artist painted a large package of toilet paper because she said it's harder to find than gold right now, which caused an artist in Southern CA to respond that it's the same where she is.
Yesterday was my payday and when I went to do my bulk shopping on Amazon Prime Pantry there were only 6 packages left of what I usually order. Today there are none of any brand available in Prime Pantry.
I just came home from doing my twice a month shopping...two different markets and not a roll of TP to be seen in either... What I found strange, besides no TP or hand sanitizer, was they seem to be having a run on spring water as well, with empty shelves in both markets... I don't think panicked people are using their heads. They're not emptying out the markets like they do when there's a predicted bad storm, so....why not wait to pick up TP and spring water when you have to go out again to shop for groceries ?!...
As for my shopping, I always stock up enough on staples to get me through at least a month. When you can only shop twice a month that kind of planning has long since become routine for me...

The days of the old Sears catalog are long gone .. .. I suppose newspaper might suffice .. soon, folks will be stealing TP from Public Restrooms ..

Clear and cool continues here, although a front is coming in and they're talking about a chance of snow down to sea level. Unless it's a prolonged storm, it will melt off fairly quickly, as the ground's to warm to stick. Uh huh.
