Here is something that I hadn't thought about. My friend that I have been helping clean the trees from the farm, his mother passed away on Monday. The funeral home that will be doing the service recommended a graveside service and no more than 10 people to attend. Needless to say, he is livid. 10 people will hardly cover his brothers and sisters and their spouses and kids.

First - "My" Condolences to your friend and his family . . .
Now - If I maybe so bold to say . . . While the funeral home "Recommended" only 10 people - Doesn't mean there can't be more people, especially given that they are family members. It was a "Recommendation" ! ! ! AND - Not A "LAW" ! ! !
IMHO - Either your friend can tell the funeral home that in advance that there will be more family members there an they will just have to deal with it . . . Or - better yet, don't say anything and have everyone just show-up at the graveside (Maybe a few at a time just before the graveside service) . . . What is the funeral home going to do then, stop the service and call the police to have everyone dispersed (which no one would HAVE TO DO) or arrested . . .

AND - If it is a large gathering, a single or even 2 police officers really can't do anything (what are they going to do - "Shot" / "Kill" everyone) . . . Either - State Police/ "SWAT" w/a paddy wagon or the National Guard would have to be called to take people away . . . Also, given the little bit I know about Ya' - I am sure both "You" an your friends would be able to bring or already have some "Protection" along with Ya' . . . BTW: If the funeral home did stop the service or even call the police who did show-up - personally I would be on the phone to a local news station or newspaper - ASAP . . . Just Sayin' . . .
