Got a bit restless today, to combat it, I went outside to do yardwork. That meant changing the oil on my small riding mower. That was an adventure in itself. I got that finished and started mowing. No further issues with the mowing. Boy, do I have a lot of small limbs to pick up. When I was finished I sat down outside to relax and wouldn't ya know it, I dropped my mod and broke the glass. Luckily, it didn't take too long to find my box with the spare glass in it. Now I am inside watching a Clint Eastwood spaghetti western, A Fistful of Dollars. I am quitting for the day.

On my walk around the neighbor earlier this week ... I watch and 'old guy' clean up the debris in his yard with one of these. Pick it up, drop it in his small yard cart with no bending/reaching to the ground.

Think I need one of 'em.

I can personally attest to Aldi Senior Hours .. the one I frequent was spotlessly clean and most things were stocked when I picked up some cheap $2.95 Aldi Wine .. (which is surprisingly good) as well as some meat .. also, they were out of most meats last week, but this week had a good stock .. Aldi provides some of the best quality hamburger out there, IMO and they had none last week .. I'll add, if you like braunschweiger, Aldi is the go to .. (Germans) ..

Go every week for Fruits & Veggies and occasionally for "Pantry" items (Jarred Olives/Pickels/Can Fruit for emergencies) or a few "snacks" (like Hummus - w/ Sun Dried Tomato or Olive Tapenade) . . . Also get Cut Rolled Oatmeal for a neighbor at times . . . Other then that - I only got Salmon 1 or twice and Chicken when it was 75% Off . . .

Tried a few other items that I just had to return - Frozen Fish Breaded Fillets & Sticks (absolutely horrible - Turn out they were made from "Pressed" Fish) and Block of Cheese (think Kraft Cheedar Cheese - tasted like pasterized cheese).

Wasn't sure about ALDI's meats , especially the ground beef, since I get it "Fresh" for only $2.99 a lb at Fresh Markets (they also offer Boneless-Skinless Chicken for the same price per lb every Tues.).

I'll add :: I think Aldi's opening hours for Senior / etc shopping are a bit more reasonable than some others ..

AH - Lets' just say reasonable for some . . . Personally - Way to early for "Me" . . . I still just going to the stores at the regular times and only for "necessary" items - Milk/Eggs/Bread . . . Just Sayin' . . .

And it’s free. I found lots of them but the rest give a free period then you have to pay.

I had to start off with an easy one ... picked a kids template.

I have one just like it fastened to the front of my mower so I can move things out of the way. It does come in handy. I also have an adjustable rake that I use with my leaf rake to pick up the fall leaves, it really helps to not bend over.

There is info out there on the Deep Web .. it's not encouraging ..

And what is this Deep Web ... just for folks who know how to really search the interwebz ... or do you need some secret cyber handshake to get through the door?

I keep the TV on all day for background noise and I usually keep it on one of several wildlife cams. They are so interesting. Maybe you all know about them already but in case you don’t. There are many on the first link but my favorites are the GRACE gorillas and the African pond.
Tembe Elephant Park

I also love these two wild bird cams.

Good morning. 31 here going up to 51, but the sun is shining and the sound of all those birds outside is joyous!

The Aldi's we have here is not so good. However, we do have a couple Lidl grocery stores that are pretty nice. More brand name items, better selection and their meat is beautiful. I got a whole beef tenderloin there for a special Christmas dinner that was a fraction of the cost elsewhere.

Nope, he didn't check with me, but I do have one in my cart. Our daughter has a 3 and 1 year old and she says she uses hers daily for picking up all those toys. She's got back and neck problems so this "Grabber" helps a lot. We already do have one that I just used recently when a package of food fell behind the freezer drawer. This one has a much more substantial grabber end.

Hola .. :)

OK .. I thought you were a Tech Wiz Kid .. :p

The Surface Web is anything that can be indexed by a typical search engine like Google, Bing or Yahoo ..

The Deep Web just refers to non-indexed pages, while the Dark Web refers to pages which are both non-indexed and involved in illegal activity .. the Deep Web is anything that a regular search engine can’t find ..

Examples of Deep Web content can be found almost anytime you navigate away from Google and do a search directly in a website – government databases and libraries contain huge amounts of Deep Web data .. you are simply not on the Surface Web when navigating these type sites / databases ..

It is estimated that 99% of Web Content is within the Deep Web ..

Like others of us here, Mike might be suffering from what is called Early Onset Rigor Mortis, in which case, it's not a toy. It's a Tool.

True - Very True . . . However, knowing as little as I do about @MikeE3, I just know he is going to be using it to "Grab" other things he shouldn't be "grabbing" . . .

Nope, he didn't check with me, but I do have one in my cart.

AH - Okay then . . . "Wifey" Approves . . .

However, might I suggest that Ya' don't leave him alone with it - nor turn your back on him . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

Old Man Winter has or will soon be, losing his grip .. :)

Oh NO - Maybe he NEEDS the "gripper" that Mike & Janet are getting . . . Just Sayin' . . .

AND - BTW: I have one too, especially since it is a coming of "AGE" device for almost everyone . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

They say if you can remember those days, you were not there .. well, that's simply not true .. Let me say first, discounting the "Current Scenario" .. I'm fine with living in the Current Era .. however, if I were to be able to re-live an Era, I would, hands down, select the 1960's ..

I have so many fond memories of that time .. yes, there were bad things as well, which I'm not going to list or go into .. I watched 'Cool Hand Luke' last night for the I don't know how many times, it always spoke to me on various levels .. anti-establishment, rebellion, love, friendship, etc .. besides having such a great cast .. after I watched it, I spun up "Mrs. Robinson" ..

We eased into that Decade gently, confident that conservative values, traditional roles, and classic clothes still prevailed .. We were an affluent society, enjoying the fruits of a flourishing economy .. Yet our new young president, JFK, urged us to embrace self-sacrifice over selfishness, to work together to eliminate injustice and inequality .. He set the tone for change, but no one was prepared for the social upheaval that would ensue .. Our attitudes, behavior, mores, every assumption would be challenged .. The pendulum, which began to swing in the 1950's from the right, would move hard and fast to the left, revolutionizing American life ..

The idealized family continued to dominate television, "Ozzie & Harriet", "The Dick Van .... Show", "Bewitched" and more .. and, we had "Mission Impossible", "Laugh In", "Dragnet", "Route 66" .. etc .. Westerns still held some sway, with "Maverick" and others ..

This decade of turbulence and mayhem was the most exciting and most profound for me .. My memories of the 1960's are among my most precious memories .. I think this especially holds true if you share the values that emerged at the time .. These included challenging the status quo, even to the point of rebellion, experimentation with mind-altering substances and alternative spiritual paths and practices, sexual freedom, the ascendancy of youth, the quest of African Americans and Women for equal treatment, Gay Riots & Revolution such as Stonewall and earlier .. and an environment full of colorful and loud visual and auditory expressions ..

The mood of the 1960's would not last long .. yet, it became indelibly etched into the fabric of our Country .. It is a testimony to the remarkableness of the era that we are still listening to its music today ..

and, Audrey’s little black dress and big sunglasses ..

Yeah, the days I can remember, some of the nights are a bit blurry ;)

It never ceases to amaze me how, back in the day, so much could be packed into 2 minutes and 27 seconds .. and, how timely the message remains ..
