Almost, but not quite, correct...;) Late at night in a HO...Dennis went to the bathroom and fell there. He couldn't get up and I knew I had to call for help but didn't have a street address. I mean...calling 911 in PA to say someone named Dennis in Sacramento, CA fell... Was told Kay might have his address, so I called and woke Kay up...got the address, called 911 and explained the situation. Was given a number to call in Sacramento....which turned out to be incorrect but was given another number by the person in CA...called...transferred to yet another number, and finally...they sent out the EMT's.... Yes, his computer was still on and Kay had joined into the HO, so we were able to watch and tell the EMT's that he was in another room unable to get up. It was quite a night, with a connection from PA to Indiana, to Michigan, to CA all coming together to help another... Isn't that what anyone would do?

Probably nothing if you also wear a mask :)

Good Morning, All. I hope everyone is staying safe and well.
Just a bit of information for everybody. I think I will try to go back to bed. The sleep I got between 3 and 4 AM just wasn't enough.

Coronavirus guidelines explained.

1. You MUST NOT leave the house for any reason -- unless you have a reason, then you can.
2. Masks are useless, but they may save lives -- they may be mandatory, or perhaps not.
3. Gloves can help, or not, so wear them sometimes -- or don't
4. You must not go to work -- but if you lose your job, you can get another one like fruit picking or care work and go to work.
5. It’s possible to contain the virus – but in the meantime, it is an uncontrolled global pandemic.
6. This virus only kills those who are vulnerable -- or fit.
7. It has no effect on children -- except those it does.
8. Animals are not affected, but a cat tested positive in Belgium before any person had been tested, oh as did a few tigers here and there…
9. You will have symptoms if you get it, you can also get symptoms but not the virus, get the virus without symptoms or be contagious without symptoms, or be non-contagious with symptoms...
10. It's important to get fresh air but don't visit parks, go for a walk. Don’t sit down, except if you are old, pregnant, or just fancy a sit-down. But if you do sit, don’t sit too long – or eat your picnic
11. Don’t visit old people -- but take them food and medication.
12. Delivered restaurant food is safe. But your groceries have to be decontaminated outside for three hours.
13. You are safe if you maintain the safe social distance of two meters from strangers when out -- but you can’t go out with friends at the safe social distance.
14. To be socially safe, stay at least two meters away from tigers (see point 8)
15. The virus remains active for two hours ... or four hours... six hours... or is it days, not hours... But it needs a damp environment. Or a cold environment that is warm and dry...
16. Home educate your children using various portals and virtual classrooms unless you have poor internet, more than one child and only one computer, or you are working from home.
(16b ). Baking cakes can be considered as math, science or art. You can include household chores within their education.
(16c). VERY IMPORTANT -- if you are home educating you can start drinking at 10 AM
17. If you are not home educating you too can start drinking at 10 AM.

WOW ! ! !

Another week has gone by all ready and while I read and lurk for the past week - I haven't responded to some post that I wanted to - until today . . .

Hola .. :)

Just keepin' ya on your toes, bud .. o_O

Why - Are Ya' that tall . . .

and if I really neatened it up, I couldn't find anything ..

AGREED ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^

Didn't matter if Ya' thought you were helping or not - LEAVE MY DESK ALONE ! ! !

I just don't understand why they don't have a cure or vaccine for it yet. Sigh

While I do not want to be a "Debbie-Downer" in any way shape or form . . . AND - While I could be wrong - IMHO - Sorry to say it doesn't work that way or that quickly, just as @clnire mentioned in her post . . . While there have been very many miracle drugs found and developed over the years, it is not that easy when a pandemic hits, more importantly when those in charge are not invested in finding a cure as quickly as the public is (I will refrain from discussing the Pharmaceutical Companies participation at this time) . . . THANKFULLY - this time it seems the majority of the World is invested, so maybe it will be a little faster . . .

As An Example - "You" probably don't remember, but during the HIV/AIDS pandemic (1970's - Virus was actually discovered 1980's) it took until 1987 to find and finally get FDA approval for just one drug to try and help those who contracted HIV during that time . . . AND - Then when that didn't work as well as they thought to control the effects of the HIV virus - it then took another approximately 10 years to finally approve the "Cocktail" of drugs to somewhat help people survive for a few years then expected (It was a rarity that anyone survived up to 10 years at the time) . . . Also, while throughout the past 50 years there have been some additional drugs to help, it wasn't until 2019 that a drug was found to lower the Viral Load of someone with HIV and to help prevent the spread of HIV (PrEP) . . . Even with that said, no one has found a cure or vaccine to help prevent someone from contracting HIV yet . . . Just Sayin' . . .

I think the phone camera is making my .... look too big ..

"But" - Have Ya looked in the mirror to confirm . . . ;)

Well, I can tell you that, what you see is what you get .. warts and all .. :p .. in my life, people either like me or hate me .. not much gray area in there ..

May not be in "there", however once again have Ya' looked in a mirror and checked the "TOP" of "Your" head . . . . ;)

I’d hesitate to tell you some of the names I’ve been called........ Again.....what you see is what you get.

SO AGREED ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ And - Those names were from "My" Friends . . .

Okay - I think that's enough from "Me", well at least for now . . .

That exactly sums up the information I've been getting these past several weeks.
