Good morning everyone :)

It has rained non-stop for 2 days now and will continue for 3-4 more. Not complaining…the water table is low.

@Janet H have checked out the little storks lately? This pic is from this morning! Sorry it's poor quality but I took it with my phone off the TV screen.

Good morning Bea. We just went through a soggy couple days here and as of yesterday the sun is shining and the humidity is low. Just beautiful! We had a lovely day visiting with our son and his family. Haven't seen them since PA closed down in March and boy has the oldest one changed. He went from a skinny little 5 year old to a chunky, 2 sizes larger little boy! He'll start back to Pre K school next week and his teachers are going to be amazed.

I just checked in on the storks. They're so fuzzy and cute! Not ugly at all like most little birds. They grow so fast!

@Uncle Welcome back. So glad you didn't loose your files!

Good morning! :)

To all of the anniversaries and vapeversarys I missed. Congratulations! A lot of milestones not to be ignored! :)

Yep, been raining for a couple of days now and looks like it will continue for a couple more! My man and I are rather enjoying it, especially since we can sit outside and enjoy all the sounds of birds and the hummers are enjoying the plants we've provided for them. Have had quite a number of wild turkeys visiting the yard, and they don't seem afraid so that's a welcome sight!

I'm reading Michael Connely’s “Fair Warning”. Have you all read it? The story gets into the dna tests that so many people have done these days to find lost relatives. This story convinced me to never have it done. The FDA is the agency overseeing that industry but there are as yet no laws regulating it. Samples can be and are, routinely, sold (anonymously) to other labs doing research on lots of things such as serious diseases. But anonymously or not I am too private a person about me to be ok with that.

This is a great novel BTW. Connely is one of my three favorite fiction authors.

Don't know if anyone actually noticed my absence/limited access of ECF for the past couple of weeks - been going through a lot of personal "Stuff" like most everyone else (Birthday/Death/sadness/depressed),

Hola .. :)

In truth, I almost posted an inquiry about your absence on more that one occasion .. :) .. each time I figured you must have a reason or two and felt like it was maybe to early for me to be nosey ..

Congrats on the recovery of your laptop .. :thumb:

Bea :: 'Just Mercy' was a bit of a tear jerker for me .. and, very much relatable during these times .. stellar performances by all and a heart wrenching plot .. two thumbs up .. I'll add that, if anyone uses a ROKU and / or the Fandango site, they had it for free .. I watched it on Spectrum Cable, which had it On Demand ..

We watched an excellent movie yesterday on youtube called “just Mercy”. If you haven’t watched it you might consider it…only $4 to rent it.

Me too. Good movie. Another friend watched it and liked it but said the book was better.

Books are always better .. :) .. the problem is, having the time to read all the ones that you want to read ..

Yes, I know. I used to be a big book reader but not in a long time. I don’t if I’ll ever get back to it but maybe.

    Adding a Netflix recommendation ::

'Ozark' .. I've watched it since Season One and it can really suck you in .. as well, I can't tell you just how realistic it is to real life around Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri .. or, just Missouri in general ..

I'm betting you'll really like it .. if Familial Drama, Money Laundering, Rednecks, Drug Deals and other various mayhem is just not your cup of tea ..

I will expect a critique .. (after you've had a while to settle into it ..)

I read that book too .. came to the same conclusion you did.
Also, I'm not getting any inoculation injection that Bill Gates comes up with.
Fortunately, the president said they will not be mandatory, (so far)
Never though I'd end up so suspicious in my old age, ...but I don't trust anything anymore.
Maybe I read toooo much

Good morning. Gonna be a hot, sunny day today.

I'm glad I got so much done in the garden yesterday. So far what i've planted seems to be doing well. Wish my body was too. The black cloth seems to be working, but there are still weeds to pull and all the getting up and down is not fun. It'll be worth it though when the harvesting begins! Gardening is very calming, I think because I have to really focus on what I'm doing - especially figuring out how to get up and down without crushing the good plants.

    Hola .. :)

Although I'm not an anti-vaxxer, I think much of the issue, for me, would be just how safe a vaccination may appear .. I don't know if any Company is going to go the full blown testing / timeframe, maybe get a waiver, push it out quick just to get it out .. nor what Political games may take place on the sidelines ..

There is quite a bit at stake here, and the money involved is huge when it comes to the end product .. there have been so many missteps on so may drugs over the years that were, supposedly, run through the full gauntlet .. and the stakes were not nearly as high ..

Any of the Jack McEvoy books are great .. and most all of Connelly’s work are real page turners ..
