Hola ..
Welcome to Ed, feel free to stick around ..
Yesterday, I spent a good amount of time in the yard, although the dry spell we've been in has slowed grass growth down ..
It was a particularly mild day, so, I decided to hit my favorite Mexican eatery for dinner around 4:30 .. I'd driven by a few times around 6:00 and their "limited outdoor seating" was packed, and the inside still can't open .. so, 4:30 seemed a good time, and it was .. I got a small table quickly ..
I'm generally a fan of al fresco dining, but in this case, Mexican food just did not seem to lend itself to the experience .. I ordered a combo plate, which has a little of about everything and it seemed to cool down pretty quick, so I really had to wolf it since Mex is not exactly delicious cold .. it did not help that the wait staff still seemed to be confused on who ordered what and were actually asking people when they brought out the food if they had ordered it ..
We've got a pretty long list of local eateries that have already formally announced they are closed for good .. some I really liked and that always did a great job .. also, a good list of Retailers that have decided to shut down for good and are already clearing out the stock ..
It's sad to me, that the landscape will change once things settle down to whatever 'normalcy' ends up unfolding .. not to mention the financial hit that local municipalities will be facing in the future ..
Businesses, especially Small Businesses, depend on cash flow .. like I always say 'if the cash don't flow, the bills don't go ..'
Speaking of cash, I handed my very attractive (even with mask) Waitress two crisp twenties for a $23.00 food tab .. she paused and looked at it like "What's that stuff .. ?" ..
