I finally went out to the workshop and installed the new lower steering unit on the riding mower. I think I will be ordering one more piece, the one piece I thought I had ordered but didn't. I hope everyone has a good weekend and enjoy all those Labor Day vape sales.

Well - Depending on the size of the plant - be it small or larger - one of these might work:

plant stands with wheels - Google Search

They did for me when I had plants in my apartment - had a huge ficus tree on a heavy duty one and it help move the tree when I NEEDED to . . .

.

Using a dolly / hand truck is as bad or worse than toting and lifting .. there are a number of stairs to deal with .. trust me, I've tried ..

A ramp? Put some of those mover things underneath and pull or rig a wench at the top? I'm assuming you're just talking about a few steps and not a whole flight of stairs. Fortunately we only have 2 steps into the house and that's bad enough. Once inside a few plant dollies help a lot to move them about. Mike made me a super heavy duty one to put under the 1/2 barrel planter. Once inside then you have to figure out how to keep them happy until Spring. They'd much rather be outside.

Speaking of plants. I was out doing a little clean up in the garden yesterday and today. Had to cook down a pot of tomatoes and set the onions to dry. Tomorrow I'm going to dig out the potatoes and see what grew.

We bought a cabinet from Wayfair to put our tv on. It came in a little, very heavy box yesterday and this afternoon we got busy putting it together. It's like a jigsaw puzzle. It's mostly done, just have to put the doors on tomorrow. It'll look nice when it's done and we can forget all about what it took to get it that way.

Good morning, all!

80o here right now and it's actually cool outside.....woke up to a lot of clouds banging together last about 1enish and then the hammering rain......it was very noisy but was able to get back to sleep quickly, thank God.

Hola .. :)

Yeah, I have been thinking about that myself .. I have a potted Yucca that, with pot, is now taller than me and I'm 6' .. not only is it heavy, but those leaves are sharp .. my deck plants always look so nice when they are, er, on the deck .. but, when it comes time to move them inside, it's a pain in the neck, back and knees .. and then, I have to move them all out again the next year ..

Maybe I should start a Bonsai hobby ..
@Uncle Willie, how about leaving the Yucca outside and using one of these.......we use them regularly here when we have freezes.

Yeah .. nothing tops my list of favorite activities than assembling knock down furniture ..

Spent a good portion of yesterday shaping and raking my stump grind pile, it now looks like something the Mound Builders would be proud of .. added to my Farmers Tan and my squint since there is now no shade in that area ..

Thanks for the ideas on moving my deck plants .. I'm now thinking of looking into fake greenery for the deck .. Amazon has a surprisingly wide selection .. :p

Well, it looks like I'm down another Solo. This morning I was getting an error for a short. I checked everything I could short of making a new coil. Finally, I put the tank on another mod and it is fine. I put a different tank on the Solo that was giving the error and the other tank also showed a short. I'll bring another Solo out of the stash and see about fixing the bad Solo another day. I just don't feel like trying to see what the problem is. Actually, I think I'll continue to use the Pico X while right here at my desk. That makes 2 of my Solos that have crapped out on me in the last year. Oh well, as often as I have dropped them I'm surprised they lasted as long as they have. They are tough just not Jerry tough. LOL

Hmm .. maybe I should look into the Pico X .. I'd guess the Zlide tanks would be OK with it ..

Hmmm. My Solos are the only PVs I've been using for several months and I've dropped them on tile floors with no problem. Mike is using 2 Solos as well as 4 others and he hasn't had any problem either. Of course, now that I've said that... I did drop mine recently hard enough that the buttons and the screen protector came off, but Mike just glued it back on and it's fine. Please let us know if you figure out what went wrong with yours.

Just a trick you might use in the future. I have 2 large pots in front of the garage that I planted Impatiens in, knowing they won't make it over the winter. They'll be pretty heavy pots to move and those plants don't really need all that room so I loaded up the bottom third of the pot with packing peanuts and then put the soil on top. The plants are happy and the pot is not so heavy to move.

I really like the Solo and find them to be a great little mod. I was grasping at straws after I decided the Solo was basically dead to use because of the short error. I opened the cover for the USB plugin and there appeared to be juice inside. I'm at a loss as to how there could be juice residue in that area. Now, my tanks, Kayfun V3 Minis, have a tendency to leak a bit. I have added removing the tanks and cleaning the juice from the top of the 510 connection and I will also remove the bottom of the tank and clean up the minute amount of juice in that area. I don't know how juice could have gotten in the USB connector. I need to get another small bit and have a look under the 510 plate. It may just be a matter of cleaning the area with some spray electronic cleaner. I just may take a trip to Home Depot and pick up another set of small bit drivers.
@Uncle Willie, I like the Pico X. It is a small mod and it fits in the hand rather well. I had two of them and they were my go-to mod until I dropped one as I was getting out of my Jeep and it broke. That was when I got my first of a few Solo mods because of how others on here talked about them. I am very hard on my mods and dropping them is my downfall.
