It seems hard to believe that it's been 50 years since Cat Stevens released 'Tea for the Tillerman' .. 50 years .. and, that Stevens was banned from the USA for a time after 9/11 ..

In commemoration, Yusuf will re-release the album .. with a new sound mix .. the following video is a mix of his old voice and his voice of today, talking to his younger self .. I found it quite poignant and think you will too ..

I continue to go out to eateries that are open for indoor eating .. and, if I have to visit a retail establishment, I do so .. having a mask in my pocket has kind of become automatic .. about every place I go to has a "Mask Required" sign on the door .. some more prominent than others ..

Yet, a good portion of the Populace around here tend to ignore the mask, and not just the young folks ..

I've dished out bad vibes, I've dished out dirty looks to the non-maskers .. yet, I've never actually said anything .. (well, there was that one time in the line at the Kroger when I said "I guess you did not get the memo .." but that seemed to fly by without making a connection) ..

I don't know if it riles me because these folks are being careless, or if it's just the fact that I'm trying to abide and they are not .. I suspect it's the latter ..

I've yet to see an establishment actually attempt to enforce the mask .. although, I went into a Best buy and they had a table set up at the front with sanitizer and free masks for anyone that did not have one on as well as a nice kid gently enforcing the sign on the door .. I've not been in a Walmart in months, so I don't know what their deal is ..

As we approach the 9/11 anniversary, it reminds me of catch phrases that came out of that tragedy .. "If your not with us, your against us .." .. "If you see something, say something .." ..

At my age, I don't want to get into a tussle, verbal or otherwise, with a stranger .. so, I suppose I stay mum .. I had a guy the other day, during a discussion, say something to the effect of "The Freedom of your fist ends an inch from my nose .. " ..

In the meantime, I'll continue to abide .. and, I guess I'll bite my tongue as well ..

I maintain a habit every year when the weather is still tolerable, where, in the evening I'll sit out on the deck, have a vape and a beverage and watch my pair of Hummingbirds hit the feeder in the back yard ..

In the mornings, since I have another feeder near the front windows, I'll have my coffee and a vape, in a quiet house with no TV on and watch them hit that feeder ..

It's likely, sometime last night or early this morning, they moved on to their Wintering area, wherever that may be .. since neither showed up .. another page turned in the unrelenting march toward Winter ..

I'll miss them ..

No need to bite your tongue, Willie. I wouldn't. I don't see much to complain about in these parts. Most folks have masks on. Most stores won't let you in without a mask and will escort you out if you don't wear it.

We're headed out in a few minutes so I'll save Cat Stevens for later.

Most everybody around here are masked and I was out to a few stores yesterday.

I love your picture of the little hummingbird so much I stole it and use it for my screen wallpaper. Our little guys are still around. They've been hitting the feeder hard so I guess they're preparing. That reminds me, I better clean the feeders before we leave.

Hello all, I had to run out to a Dr appointment earlier and my dog was raising cane about something outside that she just had to go checkout. I don’t think much will change until the feds bust the 1st few websites to make an example of them. But supposedly they to send out warnings 1st. And they announced they won’t be doing any in person B&M visits until the Covid thing passes.

Ordering from China is pretty fuzzy on whether it’s legal or not for personal use. Might take even longer to close that door.
