Janet this is a Snipe. In those days none of the bird or mammal species were protected. They were all fair game to hunters.

Hola .. :(

Although perhaps not a complete surprise based on her health issues, the loss of RBG should be mourned by all Patriots .. her Legacy stands as a singular life in a fight to bring true Equality to all Americans ..

The shameless and immediate tussle with which to bring a new SCOTUS into the current foray shows no respect to a woman that gave so much ..

Good morning. Oh my, 37 here this morning which is not so surprising since Autumn starts on Tuesday, but I'm not quite ready for 37! Our high today is only 63. It feels like we went from summer to Fall in 3 days.

Yesterday was gorgeous. Both our kids and their families were here for the day. It only took the men 15 minutes to close up the pool, a job that would take Mike and I a couple hours with sore muscles afterward. The boys had a blast playing outside with their scooters and bicycles. Other than watering the over-seeded grass I expect we're both going to be enjoying the peace and quiet of today.

Morin' . . .

Oh what memories of the crisp cool days as Fall arrives . . . And - Looking forward to the changes it brings . . . Cooler days & evenings . . . Dew upon the ground . . . Forest becoming vibrant amber, reds, and golden colors - finally as they are falling from the sky - clearing their branches to reveal their wooden sculptures . . . As the bounty of the season comes to fruition in the fields . . . All - Preparing for a background of bright white to show off that brilliancy of what Fall was and what Winter will bring . . . Ah the memories . . .

And right now that's all it will be - memories - since there is no real Fall as I remember it here in Florida . . . :(

    Morning, misfits.

Hmm, yesterday, about this time, it was 60. Today, 59. Yeah, fall, right.

And, while it may have rained all around us, essentially none here. But the rain and wind close by has pretty much cleared the smoke, so we'll take it. (Well, no choice, really, it's weather!)

Preparing for a background of bright white to show off that brilliancy of what Fall was and what Winter will bring . . . Ah the memories . . .

No, Fran, he does NOT miss the cold! In spite of the really nice prose praising 4 seasons, that ending emoji tells the story

Actually, to be very honest - nice crisp weather I miss - not the freezing cold temps of up North, and especially having to shovel snow . . . Given that, as for missing very Cold weather, and for that matter very HOT weather - not anymore, especially being on "blood thinners" . . . Hey when I first moved to FL always kept the AC on at 60* no matter what it was outside . . . Never understood when so many people started wearing parkas & heavy coats when it got down to the 50* . . . Now I do and I usually keep the AC on a steady 70* and have a flannel shirt to wear outdoors for those days when it gets 50* & below (very rare but it does happen) . . . Just Sayin' . . .

The "eye roll" one :) Kinda says "yeah, right" ;)

Ah - Yes, that would be so true if I used the "eyeroll" - which is what I normally use after the phrase "Just Sayin' " , especially if I am using sarcasm or just trying to make a point . . . However, I do use other emojis sometimes as I did in that previous post - "facepalm" & a "sad face" . . . :D

SO - Okay - when was the last time you went to an Ophthalomologist or even just had an eye exam . . . Just Sayin' . . . ( See both sarcasm & making a point)

BTW: Yes - still sending

Well, it was pre-covid, but more likely to have been a lack of coffee that kept them shut :)

Funny thing is - I was just on "My" first cup of coffee, which is very unusal for "Me" to be posting anything, especially anything that might be cohearant . . . Just Sayin' . . . ( < Now - See that was a matter of fact use :img: )
