My sis and brother will be here this afternoon,, my brother n his wife or flying back to Fl....it's gonna be great to see them! I'm still feeling poorly..no energy...but the Drs. will get me going soon...I hope!!!

Hit Chili's yesterday evening .. it was busy, took 45 minutes to get a table .. weird system, they wanted my phone number so they could text me when the table was ready .. went out and sat in the truck and listened to some music and vaped while I was waiting .. after a Just Bacon Burger / fries / chips and salsa / side order of Cajun Shrimp and 2 Presidente Margs, hit Casino Queen in East St Louis ..
Came out with $1.75 more than I went in with .. I call that a win ..
It was nice to get out on a Friday night ..
And, if you've never had a Just Bacon Burger at Chili's, it's a great burger ..

Good chilly morning! It's 38 degrees here! It's very refreshing on the deck this morning, but not for long. But the sun is shining and it looks beautiful out there.
The seed feeder is still up, but the cayenne pepper I sprinkled around seems to be mostly gone. Oh no, hope that doesn't mean the raccoon likes it!!
We had 2 hummingbirds sipping from their feeder yesterday. It's hard to tell if it's the same 2 or if it's 4 different birds. Whatever, it's good I still have at least 1 feeder still out for any travelers passing through on their migration.

Good morning/afternoon all. I hope everyone is having a fun relaxing day. I should do some yard work but I just don't have the energy to do it today. I think today is a day to stay inside and read a good book. Since the new book by George R.R. Martin, The Winds of Winter will be coming out in 2021, I have started rereading the series A Song of Ice and Fire. When the series first came out I was on the waiting list at the local library to get the books. When the series came out on HBO I was right there awaiting each episode. However, by season 3 I gave up on the video series. Enjoy your day.
Good morning. It was spritzing this morning, but the sun is out now and the birds are going crazy at the feeders.
We had a great time yesterday with the family. The boys were having a great time with their bikes and cars. Brody is only 22 months old and he was just thrilled to be running around with the boys even if he had no idea why they were running away from him! He's going to have to grow some legs to keep up! Gorgeous weather to be outside watching them.

Starting to look like fall around here. Typical morning fog (the kind that doesn't respond to coffee!!) and afternoon sun. And they're talking torrential rains later in the week. Sadly, doesn't look like much, if any, will go much further south.

Well, thought I'd dip my toes into the Apple world and picked up an old '11 iphone 4s for $40. Unlocked, refurbed w/ 1 yr warranty. Will be my alarm clock and outdoor phone I guess.

While I don't use an alarm clock at all, I do have a couple older smart phones that I use as streaming radios, outputting VIA the jack to a sound system .. works great, no data used since it's on WI FI ..
I haven't went the Apple route, yet, but I do need to see about a new tablet. I bought an inexpensive 8 inch Galaxie Tab A. it's good but it is small. I would like one that wouldn't break the bank. Maybe one with a pen that I can use to doodle and write with. I know, I don't want much.
Yeah, got that same one, lol. And the A phone also. Got the wife the bigger version that does more but I don't know ifn it uses a pen.
I'm more or less giving this website and apple a try. Maybe upgrade later. Some really good prices.
