I haven't went the Apple route, yet, but I do need to see about a new tablet. I bought an inexpensive 8 inch Galaxie Tab A. it's good but it is small. I would like one that wouldn't break the bank. Maybe one with a pen that I can use to doodle and write with. I know, I don't want much.

FYI: Recently got the Galaxy Tab A 8" at Targets 2 weeks ago that was on sale $136, then found it for even less expensive on their own website $117. . . . So kept searching and found the larger Galaxy 10 on sale for just a few dollars more - so returned the 8" back to Targets told them about finding both the 8 & 10 for less - they scan the bar code on the 10 box and found the 10 on sale for even less then their price of $199 - which was $169 - which they honored based on their price match policy . . . It's much better the the 8 - matter of fact it's what I am using right now . . . Maybe you can do the same wherever you got yours . . . Just a thought . . . ;)

Morning, all. Claim is this will be the last dry day for a week. We'll see. And maybe even helping out our neighbors to the south with the continuing fires. While causing landslides in the burned out areas. Mixed blessing?

Gave the dandelions what I hope is the last hair cut of the season, yesterday. Got the burn pile tarped :) (While, "technically" we're out of the no burn season, bans are, sensibly, still in place until AFTER the debris is freshly soaked...)

I need a new tablet too. I dropped mine in the tub and have been missing it ever since. I had an Amazon Fire 8. Since I hate change I'm saving up for another Fire 8.
If you are looking for the Fire 8 keep an eye open for Prime Day on the 13th & 14th. It is rumored that Amazon will be having some really good deals on their Fire line of tablets and other Amazon-branded items.

Maybe you can do the same wherever you got yours . . . Just a thought . . . ;)
I got the Galaxy Tab 8 about 4 or 5 months ago but I appreciate the idea.

I actually think I will get the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and Wally's has it on sale for $280, the regular price is $349. The reviews look really good and it comes with a pen. It looks like just what I am looking for in a new tablet.

Samsung's Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is way better than its name implies

I need to go out and pick up some prescriptions and may just drop by Wal-Mart since the website shows they have a couple of them in stock.

Thanks for all of the ideas and recommendations. I'll let ya'll know what I decide.

Hola .. :)

Sadly, I'm a day late in reporting this, but I believe Amazon had a one day deal on yesterday for the 8 at $40.00 and the 10 at $80.00 ..

Well, I bit the bullet and went to Best buy and they matched the price for Wallys! It took a bit but after talking with 2 managers and showing the price from walmart.com on my phone, they agreed to price match. If they hadn't I wasn't worried, I just told them I would go to Wallys because they also had it in stock. Now I am sitting here doing all of the setups and transferring data from the old tablet to the new one. One thing that is making the transfer a lot easier is a program called Smart Switch. I loaded the app on the old Tab A and with it open on the new Tab 6 the tablets are wirelessly transferring the apps and data. I'm all for easy. :thumb:

Did you get the regular tab6 or the lite. Didn't know the lite was so inexpensive.

    Good morning!

Been MIA the last few days! Our daughter's dog had to be hospitalized for surgery to amputate his right back leg. They have no children, so this dog (Gussy) is like a child to them. So, for the last week, we've been doing our share of helping in any way possible. As a matter of fact, sil and the man just left to pick Gussy up at the vet hospital in Jax. Gussy has a special love for my man and seems he is the only one Gussy can feel relaxed with, especially now, since dd and sil are too uptight right now. Gussy will be in the back seat with my man, and I'm sitting here typing and wishing I could be with my dd at her home. Texting and Pming just doesn't cut it when we need that personal touch.
Jax is a little over an hour from here, and so trying to figure how much time it will be before they get back.......I'm guessing around noon which includes travel time and getting instructions, etc.

Yea, I'm a bit anxious, but I know it will all be OK.......:nun::nun:

Good morning Fran. It's a beautiful sunny morning.

We found more Halloween decorations in the attic so we've been hanging up little ghosties in the trees lining the driveway this morning. We're picking up Miles and Beckett from school tomorrow and bringing them here for a sleep over tomorrow so we'd like to be decorated for them. You can't even see the porch from the road so the decorations are just for the boys. Sheesh, what we'll do for the kids. But it's fun.

For the past month they've been so excited and talking about what they're going to be for Halloween. Unfortunately, it's not going to be much of a Halloween this year with the virus. Only go to houses with the lights on and no touching. Some people are using a pvc pipe to send the candy into their bags.

Awww, poor little guy. Dogs and cats make out quite well with only 3 legs, but it's still sad when it happens. My sister has a 3-legged cat who doesn't know she only has 3 legs and Kate's neighbor had a 3-legged dog who is perfectly happy. I hope he recovers quickly.

    Morning, misfits.

Rain's not here, yet, but they still say it's coming. About time!

Seasonal decorations going up here, as well, even though no kids, grand or greats will be around to see. And, being out in the country, not many others, but she likes to do it, so...
