Morning, lizards.

Good morning to the young at heart

It is cold here also. 33 going to 39. Gloomy no sun day.

Uh, got you beat, 29, heading for 40 ;) But clear and sunny, for the 4 hours of daylight we get this time of year. ;)

Meet Me in St Louie Louie
Been doing a deep clean in the living room off and on .. sold my old couch and bought a new one .. now, I must recruit a couple of stout young guys to get it in the house since the place does not deliver unless you want to cough up $100 bucks more .. new one weighs in at around 200 LBS ..

Hola .. :)

Called a young stout guy I know last night to see if he could round up another young stout guy and get this new couch in the living room .. I headed to the furniture store this AM and they loaded it in the truck, still in the box .. the two guys showed up about 10 AM, I shuffled a few things around to make it easier on them .. even at that, one was huffing and puffing by the time they got it up the stoop .. almost dropped it twice ..

So now, it sits in the middle of the living room, still in the box ..

I slipped them $15 bucks a piece .. hey, it was 5 minutes work .. beats a $100 delivery fee .. they would have done it for free, but I figured it was the least I could do ..

Now, I need to find me some of those furniture slider things ..

You can use any plastic plate/bowl type of object if you are sliding on a carpet surface. Even a paper plate might work if it is smooth. If you need to slide on a hard surface, use rags or something that will slide easily.

I saw a carpet cleaner use some of those little tin ashtrays you used to get at Micky D's for sliders when he cleaned my carpets back in the day. I have a supply of old TV dinner bowls (for the stray cats) that I have used here.

Good Morning!

Since we're giving weather reports...it's a balmy 40-ish with blue skies...so far..

I've been Christmas decorating outside n inside...tho I've cut down a lot...not only because of the Covid and I don't expect much company.. but because I've gotten too decrepit to go all-out! I've been working on the decorations for two days now...slow but sure!

Hoping everyone is well!

Good Morning Afternoon, All. The only thing about the weather here is that it is cold, cloudy, and wet. My body does not like it at all! I have never really gotten into decorating at Christmas. The most we ever did was set up Advent candles. It makes things a lot easier. I hope everyone has a good day, stay safe.

Good morning. It's going up to 48 today with a "touch of rain" this afternoon. Really, that's what my weather app says.

Guess I should get the Fall decorations down from the front door today and put up something Christmasy. Yesterday I wrote out our Christmas letter as usual. Wow, it's a short 1 pager this year. I'm so grateful that it wasn't filled with bad news, but it wasn't filled with exciting happenings either.

This is very timely. I'm sitting here with the computer on my lap and Maggie cat is draped over my left forearm. If I move her she just paws at me until she can get her front leg and head on my arm. I'm a one finger typer when she does this.

Hola .. :)

Not much to report .. ran by my tire guy this AM to get the regular Winter tire pressure check .. (just as an FYI, always have your tire pressure topped off when it gets cold, although you probably always knew that .. ) .. I'm guessing those in the Southern Realm of the Kingdom don't have that hassle to deal with .. o_O

Pretty much finished my Living Room deep clean and it's sparkly .. :) .. started about 4 weeks ago with the carpet cleaning and just went from there ..

I don't generally like those plug in air fresheners .. I mean, they really don't "freshen" the air .. I also don't like those things that you put oil on a topper and burn a tea candle under it to create a scent .. I used to burn incense but that has it's own set of issues .. candles are OK for the flame but that's about it .. (our fascination with fire probably dates back to the Caveperson days .. )

However, thru the recommendation of someone, I bagged one of these and some essential oils on Amazon .. ::

Amazon.com : Diffuserlove Essential Oil Diffuser Metal Vintage 100ml Ultrasonic Humidifiers Aromatherapy Oil Diffuser with 4 Timer Mode & 7 Color LED Lights and Waterless Auto Shut-off for Home Office and Yoga : Beauty

It's a very hip unit, and works pretty well .. although you really need to add more than a few drops of oil to it ..

Now, let me be clear, my Home does not smell bad .. nor did it ever .. :p .. but, if I can add a little extra Feng Shui to the mix, I'm all in ..
