Thought we were going to need an ark this afternoon. I knew it was going to rain, but not this much! We had some pretty gusty winds go through, but fortunately didn't loose any trees.

@Diver9543, take care of that cold.
    Same weather here.

    Good morning! :) :)

It's 39o here this morning with a promise of 52o!

Our Thanksgiving was delightful and now it's time for the real fun! ;)

The man and I did a pretty thorough job of cleaning yesterday, moving furniture and making the decision to move the two bookcases which flank the fireplace. Ended up putting them back as our plan was good in thought, but not in reality.
Got on my hands and knees and wiped down the baseboards which get little attention throughout the year, so am glad that job is done until Spring cleaning.

Today, the decorations go up but it is usually on on-going thing till about a week before Christmas! Wanted them up by now, but a few days late is OK!

Scanning through the posts, seems like everyone is doing A-OK, and that's always good to read.

    Morning, loungers.

Cool and dry atm. Liable to stay cool, maybe not dry. But the snow is still high above us, a fine place for it!

    Good morning everyone!

Woke up to a light dusting of snow and the temp's in the mid twenties! it looks lovely!

Got all my Christmas shopping done about a week ago...thank goodness for on-line shopping!:D

If I can come up with enough strength n energy, I'm gonna try to do some decorating...but it'll be minimal this year.

( us old..er..senior folks ( or at least me) have to conserve our energy:)

    Hola .. :)

Yesterday, Old Man Winter (I still don't know why it's Old Man .. o_O) .. came a knockin' pretty hard .. with a cutting wind and slight snow flurries .. that dry, cold snow .. did not accumulate, other than the mound I still have in my yard from the tree removal / stump grind during the Summer .. it was white

Been doing a deep clean in the living room off and on .. sold my old couch and bought a new one .. now, I must recruit a couple of stout young guys to get it in the house since the place does not deliver unless you want to cough up $100 bucks more .. new one weighs in at around 200 LBS ..

Brrrr, chilly today. Temp is 43, but it's cloudy and the wind is blowing. The sun must have taken the day off. Feels a lot colder than 43. I ran some errands while Mike put up the Christmas lights. He thought it was going to be a nice day or he wouldn't have gotten that started today. Anyway, that's done and the mantle is done. Now there's just some decorating to do, but not as much as other years. We're not sure if the kids are going to be here or at their in-laws so we're going to make it easy on ourselves this year.

For quite a few years, I went near full on Clark Griswold with the outdoor Christmas decorations .. in fact, there was a time when the folks in the 'hood were practically in competition with each other ..

I eventually threw in the towel .. my tolerance for the hassle just wore thin .. now, the stuff sits in plastic tubs in the basement as the animated junk collects dust along side .. I think, sometimes, that the fact that Fall seemed to disappear around these parts as an actual season may had something to do with it .. these days, we seem to go from Summer to Winter in about 5 minutes .. my ability to work outside in chilly conditions is limited these days .. I get cold quicker than I used to ..

Now, you can pay a crew to come out and do it all .. and probably summon them on an app ..

Good morning, All. Not a lot going on here and that is the way I like it. I received my order from Bull City Flavors so I am looking for some good recipes. I have found quite a few and will be making some soon. We have some winter weather moving in tonight so I will be going to the store and getting a few items. One of the items on my list is coffee. I had to make a pot this morning with the course ground that I use for Syndee's iced coffee and it just doesn't taste the same as Folger's. I hope everyone has a good day. Stay safe and well.

This is very timely. I'm sitting here with the computer on my lap and Maggie cat is draped over my left forearm. If I move her she just paws at me until she can get her front leg and head on my arm. I'm a one finger typer when she does this.
