Greetings! Haven't been here all day because this morning I had to go for my annual eye exam. Of course my eyes got dilated so the doc could meticulously examine the inside of my eyes with a light brighter than the sun! Good grief I really don't like that part! The good news is my eyes are perfect so I guess it was worth it. It takes hours for the effects to wear off, at least on me, so I couldn't see to do much of anything. And I really wanted to get the latest granny squares put together. So here I am and that was my day.

I think this is the most snow we've had in one shot, all winter. I'm fairly sure that the normal winter activities were very poor..i.e. snowmobiling, ice skating, skiing, ice fishing..all the things I USED to love doing!
..except the ice fishing...
Oh well...I have some really great memories!
BTW..has anyone heard from our Gracie? I called her a couple of days ago, but no response...

No snow here, and maybe even a break from rain. Maybe. Still too warm, but they claim that will change in the next few days. Whether or not we get anything but cold out of that remains to be seen.

Good morning, all. I hope everyone is having a good day. I don't have anything planned for today. What I have been doing though, is downloading some books to my tablet. I have been watching a new series on BBC America, The Watch, and found out it is based on a book series by Sir Terry Pratchett, Discworld. I've only downloaded the first couple of books in the series so I'll sit down in my recliner later and see what it's all about.
Another thing I have been doing is going through my stash and making a bit of a list of my tanks, mods, and coils. I really don't have a lot of things but then I don't need a lot either. Give me my RDAs, and Solo mods along with my coiling gear, and I'm pretty much set. I do have a question, I have a couple of mods with internal batteries. Should I give them a full charge or draw them down to 75% or so before I put them in the stash drawer?

Our forecast is for rain overnight, turning to snow in the early hours of the day. Then continue snow through late afternoon. I hope they are wrong. I've already run the snow blower 3 times out of the last 4 days. Not looking forward to doing it again tomorrow.
IF you're going to stash them, yes, around 75 - 60% would do fine. If it were me, I'd use the built-ins until they die, rather than stash them. While they may be good for years, why risk the battery going bad instead of using it up?
Good morning. It' snowing heavy out there since 6:30 this morning. Supposed to get 2-5" here, but just a bit south of us it'll change to rain. It looks so pretty. So far the roads are ok, but it's going down to 16 tonight.

Good morning, all. Thanks for the advice. I have decided that I will not stash the built-ins. I'll keep them, I only have 2, so I'll keep them out and use them.
We are getting ready for a cold spell for the next few days so I'm heading out to the farm to trip my traps so nothing will be caught. I don't want a critter to get caught and we can't get out to care for them.

A little cooler here, and wet again. Still no need for shovels or blowers, although that may change tonight as the "polar blast" is said to be working towards us.
Mike, can you take the brain box out of a Roomba and get it working on the snow blower?
