Morning, misfits.

Just more rain here, temps still over freezing. Uh, 12, going to 15, that's long sleeve T-shirt weather ;)

Wow ... we got maybe 8-10 inches overall in SE PA ... what part of the state are you located.
I'm in West berks County. A few miles from Sandra. I think we got the storm from the coast. It just missed you guys.

Nervous this morning, had to finish up more and it was icy. New snowblower doesn't have shear pins, just some kind of tranny that deals with it somehow.

Actually did better than yesterday because most of the moisture was gone. It was so darn wet yesterday.

How'd that new snow blower work out. I'd be nervous too, not having an shear pins on the blades.

I've got a big honkin' 828 John Deere blower and I broke two shear pins on it. Dang road crews put 1/2 the snow from the road up onto my sidewalks. Then it freezes over night and it's a real pain to clear the side walks.

Worked great! Just a $1000 26" jobber. Gotta do research on that small transmission thing it has instead of the shearpins. Sure made alot of noise this morning with ice chunks around one of our cars, but I do the plow stuff immediately after they pass.

"The blower is also equipped with hardened gears in your auger gearbox - there are no shear pins to replace.Instead, if the auger hits hard material, the engine will purposely stall to prevent damage. Ideal for concrete, asphalt and gravel surfaces."

Guess it just shuts down and you pull the ice out?? The anti-clog feature is nice altho I did manage to clog it once running hard yesterday, lol. My old single stage I had for years clogged with anything.

It’s interesting. I didn’t know about the FoxPro.
FoxPro is just one of many electronic predator calls. This isn't the lowest as far as price, however, but it has had some good reviews and it was in my price range. I've wanted one for years and I decided to splurge.

Today, I finally went to the farm and with Steven's help, I got some raccoon traps installed and also put up two trail cameras. They are linked through AT&T so I have pictures that will be sent to me when there is movement detected. A new toy, yea!

I always liked Torro until they bought out Wheelhorse many years back. I owned two Wheelhorse tractors and they were rugged as heck. I only got rid of them when I needed to move up to a bigger deck and more HP from the engine.

Anti-clogging is nice. My JD really only has a problem with clogging when the snow is real wet. Then it can be a pain.

Here for so long we thought the deeming was the end of vaping. Now another demon has struck the industry and therefore us. These are the dates when the primary carriers will no longer be allowed to ship ecigs, their components or juice (and probably nic too). There goes all the on-line shops. I really feel bad for folks who are miles and miles from a B&M and rely on on-line vendors for their juice yet alone h/w. Or folks for one reason or another that can't even make the trip to a local B&M.

    • Fedex - March 1, 2021
    • DHL - already had ecigs listed on their prohibited list of items to ship
*note: Within the 5500+ page COVID relief bill passed by both the House and Senate on Dec. 22, 2020 buried in it was a restriction that vape 'stuff' could not longer be sent through the mail even with adult signature required. UPS and FEDEX just jumped on the bandwagon and followed along like blind sheep.

Good morning. It's going up to 39 today with sun so there's gonna be a ton of melting.

Today I have to make a Costco run - we're out of bacon!! Horrors! And there's only 1 suet cake left so it's time to make another batch of that. There's 6 bluebirds hanging around and I'd like to keep them! Just wish the starlings would find another place to hang out.

    43 days until Spring!

While I no longer need or want any vape stuff I can’t begin to express how angry this sneaky way of getting this passed makes me. Not only because so many people will lose their livelihood but also because I fear that many vapers will return to smoking

Good morning, all. Two days at the farm has me aching all over and my knees and back are screaming at me. Oh well, life goes on. I checked the cameras first thing this morning. Stevens traps by the creek have one .... and my traps appear untouched with a nice buck standing near my traps. It looks like a day of pain pills and staying inside.

We don't get but I think 10" of snow per year on average so there is no requirement for snow removal. I have at times, shoveled snow off the driveway but since I don't go anywhere when it does snow I don't even worry about that anymore. I'm really glad because I live on a corner and have a lot of sidewalks. Some days it is all I can do to edge the sidewalk in the summer let alone trying to shovel off the snow on a cold winter day.

I got vape mail! The postman just rang my doorbell. It was an order I had made with Health Cabin back on 1/14. I was beginning to wonder if it was going to be sent as I had not gotten any kind of a shipping notice. It wasn't anything that I really needed just a couple of spare Innokin Ares 2 tanks for my stash drawer and 6 spare clear glass for the Ares. I'm using a smoke glass on one of the tanks that I had broken back in December. I don't like the smoke glass because it is really hard to see the juice in the tank. I'll swap it out when I refill the tank in a little bit. I hope everyone has a good day. Stay safe and well.
