Hi all, I just got back from the farm. Had a relaxing day. I had planned on setting a few traps and set up some new trail cams. After I finished collapsing and folding up the ground blind, I was having some not so nice back spasms. I gathered up the trail cams that were in the area and decided to go to the platform blind and try to call in some critters. I set the FoxPro about 50 yards from the platform and started calling. I spent about 2 1/2 hours and the only thing I managed to call in was a couple of eagles and a few crows. The eagles chased off the crows and continued to over-fly the area looking for the "distressed" animals. NO! I would not even think of shooting an eagle! I really need to take my camera and get some good pictures of the wildlife that comes through the area.
For those of you who don't know what the FoxPro is, it is an electronic
device that has numerous "sounds" of various animals that are in distress or making mating calls. Think of the sounds cats make when they are in heat or small cats and dogs crying for their mothers. The one I have has about 75 different animal sounds and it will hold up to 200 different calls. There are actually more I can download from the FoxPro online library.
I'm rambling so I think I'll move to my recliner. Good night, all.
