Afternoon, loungers. No, I've not been lounging, unfortunately. Woke up at my usual time to no power (ergo also no heat, water or coffee!!) All's back in order now, although 4 hours late for coffee was pushing it ;)

Close to a foot of snow here, and don't know if the power loss was due to snow load and trees in the lines or too many car meets pole incidents.

@Uncle Willie, so sorry to hear of the passing of your friend, Davy. My stepfather was a big man, hard-working be it at the airport or the farm. When he was fighting his cancer it just really ate him up. I know he lost more than 100 pounds. It broke my heart seeing him like that.
I got vape mail, my order from BCF came in. The coupon code ELRECIPES really helped keep the cost down.

Look for the D22 Zenith. It's a 22mm diameter tank w/ a 3ml capacity. It's the European 2ml version to watch out you don't buy by mistake. (I know ... I didn't that for a couple. The 2ml are tiny tanks though if you want/need something really small).

Here's one place that has them. I didn't search for the cheapest just availability.

Innokin Zenith D22 MTL Tank by Phil Busardo and Dimitris Agrafiotis

I guess no one had an answer for me but I thought I'd give it one more try.

Bea, I answered you too. Look at my quote above your quote.

Good morning to all who are up. The big ice storm saw fit to skip over us. Looks like only what was already wet yesterday froze. It's going up to 40 this afternoon so that should help.

We went to our daughters on Fri and stayed to watch the boys for the night so their parents could have a few adult hours to themselves. We came home about 1:00 on Saturday before the storm was due in. We had a great time with the boys, they didn't give us a lick of trouble. Funny how kids behave better for anyone other than their parents. It makes me so happy knowing they're looking forward to us coming for another sleep over.

This photo is a real, unretouched photo I took at Lacledes Landing in downtown STL .. the historic warehousing and shipping hub in days long gone .. where the Riverboats would dock and unload .. is it a Ghost Carriage .. ?? Is it just camera trickery .. ??

Very cool photo! Who cares if there is a scientific explanation for the images, it still stirs the imagination. It could be the book cover for a mystery story.

I spent two fondly remembered years in Nawleans .. in a cheap walk up apartment in the Treme with one of the most beautiful and passionate woman I've ever known ..

Sometimes, when a memory like that creeps back into my head, I think I was always happiest when I had little to nothing and lived on a shoestring .. Worldly goods are like the chains of Jacob Marley ..

A very close friend of mine of over 45 years passed this week .. I was able to visit him before the cancer finally took him .. when we were younger, Davy was a hard charging, robust, devil may care raconteur .. it's quite difficult to see someone end up a thin shell of themselves ..

It reminded me that, when the Reaper calls for me, let it be fast, let it be painless .. or call whoever is filling in these days for Dr. Kevorkian ..

Totally agree about the worldly goods! They are just THINGS and the importance we attribute to them is like smoke and mirrors in their reality. It's all emotional and keeping track of it all just clutters our brains.

I'm so sorry about your friend. I hope the memories of the good times gives you comfort.

Morning, misfits.

No further mishaps here, for now. Woke up to heat, light, water, and coffee not long after :) More snow falling atm, although the guess is not as much. Uh huh.

And I guess I do have to give the flat-landers a pass this time. Being as the "down town" areas of Olympia, Tacoma and Seattle got amounts ranging from 6 to about 12". Since a half inch usually throws them into panic and hoard mode, I guess with the amounts they got it's actually understandable this time ;)

Morning loungers.

Snow is slowly melting here, it takes a while at 36. Hopefully also slow down at sea level, since all the storm drains there are plugged with it as well. Too fast a melt and they'll have some flooding issues. No concerns for that here :)

Wow, hope your heater is in good shape! -4 Wed. night? You could wake up was a popsicle! We're supposed to have sleet overnight tonight which will make the roads bad, but it's going up to 48 tomorrow so the ice and remaining snow is going to do some serious melting. Stay warm Kay!

32 days until Spring!!

Oh man I jinxed myself! Woke up this morning to a 66 degree house. The heater is blowing cold air. We called for service, but don't know how many people are ahead of us. I's going down to 26 tonight so they better get someone out today! Mike got a fire going in the fireplace and we were just talking about using up the wood out in the pile.

Morning, loungers.

Dang, not good, Janet. I suppose you or Mike have checked all the circuit breakers? Hope you have enough logs and don't need to start breaking up the furniture!!

We seem to be past the worst of our (current) weather cycle, back to rain and over freezing temps. Supposed to get more snow, but all over 2500', so we're in the clear and the snow pack gets up to a 2' refresh. :thumb:

Thanks Janet!

LOL...awoke this morning to sparkly beautiful white snow...approx. 13-14 ins.!!! I had a hard time opening the back door this morning.

And a neighbor had just shoveled the small amount of snow ...and a thick layer of ice..from my driveway, yesterday! It took him about 20-30 mins. just for a short driveway.

Real Mi. winter has arrived...with a vengeance!

Hope everyone has a good day!
