@Bea-FL Thank you for the pics, they are beautiful! I was about to ask you for some. It's frigid here, cold and windy, and the GH pics bring warmth and a smile.

Happy Friday. The good news is I just got home from getting my first COVID-19 vaccination. The bad news is the office still expects me to get work done this afternoon. At least I'm home, warm and comfy, so it's not all bad.
Anytime…as long as you all don’t get tired of my pics I probably have bloomers to post every month. Glad you got your first one. We got our second last Saturday and went to our orchid society meeting on Tuesday. First time since last March. Masks on. I feel like I've lost an entire year of my life!

    Morning, loungers.

In between storms for now, but that could change in minutes. But still over freezing, with the snow level down to about 2500', so the summer and fall water is still in place. :)

I feel like I've lost an entire year of my life!

Yeah, not alone with that, Bea!

    Good morning!
Awoke to awesome sunshine and the snow is almost gone. But, this is Mi., so I'm prepared mentally n emotionally for more snow.
What bugs me, tho, is the awesome sunshine but it's too damm cold to go out without a heavy jacket.

Luckily for me, tho, my pc is in the front bedroom where the sun starts shining first...that's why I'm on the pc so much! It's the only room where I leave the blinds all the way up all day!
"Course, I have black-out drapes for the summer time!
Hope everyone has a great day!

I feel like I've lost an entire year of my life!

    That's because you (we) have .. :(

When I wound down my studio, sold my mid-level concert PA system and shed myself of that some years back, concentrating on instrument work, I kept my toe in the water of sound work by setting up at a small, very old Theater that had been turned into a small concert venue ..

I would record the artists that played the venue, pretty much old acts that had seen better days, and were still out on the road trying to make a buck .. at the end of the shows, I had a high speed multi-cd duplication machine and would crank out CD's of the performance on the spot, offering those attending the chance to buy an actual recording of the show they attended .. it was never super lucrative, as the venue only had maybe 300 seats, but, it allowed me to make a few bucks, I had to slip the performers some of that ..

Mainly, it continued to keep me doing something I really liked .. and, I got to meet folks and play with the gear that I've always had a love for .. it was also a nice Friday or Saturday night out, since the venue served beer and wine ..

Covid curtailed that .. this little story crossed my mind the other day .. just a small story in the scheme of things ..

The live entertainment industry in general has been highly impacted by the Pandemic .. you'd be surprised the number of old acts that relied on that road income to pay the bills ..

I'm sure most of America has a story or three to tell as it relates to how life changed over the last year ..

I remain hopeful that the end is, indeed, in sight .. although I wonder

Yeah, what with some States opening up, even though their infection rates are still higher than the last time they tried to open...

Although, with more getting vaccinated and the number of people who've had it and recovered (or had it and stayed asymptomatic), some are mumbling about reaching "herd immunity" by early summer. Guess we'll see...

We have to get a certificate from DH's doctor documenting his heart disease and severe vascular blockages. As for me even though I qualify because of heart disease I don't turn 55 until May 25th. So I still have to wait.

Good morning. It's a crunchy 19 outside this morning, but going up to 45. Temps are much warmer after today. Tomorrow it'll be 60 and by Thursday it'll reach 67!! Woohoo! Spring is really coming! 11 days until Spring!!

I would think that having heart disease would qualify you for Phase 1A regardless of your age. Don't know about your area, but our county said we don't need proof of a medial condition, we'd just have to sign a paper saying we had one. Not all the places I've signed up have asked the question about health issues, but some of them do. Check out pharmacy websites like CVS, Wallgreens, Wallmart etc. Everyone, including our docs have told us to sign up everywhere and take the first one that comes through. Good luck on your search. I'm starting to hear of more people that I know getting their shots so that's hopeful.

    Good morning early birds!
The sun is shining here also:banana: And the snow is almost gone! But..again...this is Mi. and it's been known to snow into May .
But I'm optimistic. .I put out a couple of Adirondack chairs in the front yard yesterday.
I'm even tackling a little spring cleaning i.e., getting rid of a bunch of outdoor/indoor items that I never use. One of my g-daughters now lives in a house with a nice yard so she's taking the things that I don't use.
..and I hope they take more!
Speaking of which, Chey n Jazzy, along with Chey's awesome boyfriend, paid a surprise visit yesterday, they all came in two vehicles, so they already have taken a few things from the yard.

As for the vaccine...I haven't gotten one and I don't intend to...
