Nothing since I last posted? I sure hope that means everyone is busy having fun.

I accidentally fell asleep while trying to get my feet to thaw out. Surprise naps are awesome. lazy.gif

Due to my unexpected nap, I went to BurgerKing for supper. I ordered myself a double cheeseburger and the little guy asked me if I wanted cheese? Sheesh! They have a $1+ menu now and it was $2.49. I think that should qualify as a $1++.

And then I got home and they had given me a single cheeseburger and not the double I paid for. GRRRR :-x That is just how my day goes sometimes. Chuckle and move on! unnamed.gif

I can't eat like I used to. Yesterday I stopped at Pizza Hut and got a three-topping thin crust pizza. After I brought it home, I could only eat 2 small slices. Today, I heated up two slices in the air fryer and was only able to eat one slice. I wonder how much I have lost this month. I will find out on Tuesday when I go to the dr. office. So far, I have lost a total of thirty-five pounds. Well, since the end of December. I haven't weighed this amount since I started working for the State of Texas back in '93.

Congratulations to you on the weight loss. That is pretty quick results. It has taken me a lot longer to take off 40 lbs but I have thyroid issues that make it more difficult. I don't think it is humanly possible for me to eat just one slice of pizza though. 8014af21-3b50-4903-9c36-352489fb6f5e.gif heehee

Good morning. Wow, the sun is shining and I see blue sky! Of course it's only 34 degrees, but the sun is shining! No rain!

Poor Mike went on a fly fishing trip Friday and came home Sat. afternoon. We've had so much rain the fisher people couldn't even go in the water - too dangerous due to the high, fast flowing water.

Soon after getting home Mike said he felt like he was getting sick. Yep, by bedtime he had a 100.4 fever. No fever this morning, but he's still in bed. I'll covid test him when he gets up.

I am so glad you shared that because it warmed my heart! View attachment 972422 It is a good feeling to help those in need. Glad you were there.

Hmmm, birds don't smack into the windows when they're dirty. Could the universe be telling me something?

I have gotten so I like the self-checkouts because I can pack those bags the way I like them the proper way. I do, however, feel the company should give me a small discount for doing it. Considering the amount of shoplifting that these self-checkout enables, I think it would be cheaper just to pay a cashier and offer good customer service like in the old days. Omgosh, I'm an o'l fart. View attachment 972424 (but loveable, imo)

When our grocery store started letting people scan their own products as they shopped I wondered about what would stop people from just putting stuff in their bags. I asked one of the staff about it and they said there's cameras everywhere. Evidently one couple scanned all their stuff except for several choice cuts of meat. Security met them at the check-out so I guess it works. As usual people will still find a way to beat the system though. Still, it makes you wonder about a store finding it cheaper to do it this way than to pay people.

On another note. This Apothecarium advertisement is most annoying. I "X" it out and it pops up every 12 seconds. It's interfering with seeing the posts and constantly having to get rid of it. Now it's on the bottom, but comes and goes every 15 seconds or so. Arrrrgh!

That sounds like a great idea. Soak up some of that Vitamin D. l_sunny.gif That is what I should be doing but I'm trying to get motivated enough to take a shower! Enjoy your afternoon.

Good news! We tested Mike for covid and he's negative!

Bad news. Those blue skies are getting blocked out by clouds. Well, as long as those clouds don't drop their water it's ok.

It's been that way here for a couple of weeks now...except it's been raining cats n dogs also! Oh well...it'll make my flower gardens ( small ones) grow:)

I think mine is stress-related. But then I could stand to lose another 25 or so.

There will always be people who will try and game the system. Two types of people I despise are liars and thieves.

It is time I clean my windows. I use a teaspoon of Dawn dishwashing liquid in a gallon of water. I use cotton shop rags that I don't wash with fabric softener. One towel to wash and another to dry. No streaking, rags washed with fabric softeners will streak.

That is good news!

Looks like the Sunday family outing is going to be at Cracker Barrel. I happen to like them because their food is always consistent and nothing can elevate my moods like biscuits and blackberry jelly. heehee They have a very tasty steak that I am 99.9% sure I will be eating. MG_256.gif

I am sorry you have stress but it is much better than being a "comfort eater". I have 20 more pounds that I would like to lose. Maybe 22 now that those brownies are half gone. 8014af21-3b50-4903-9c36-352489fb6f5e.gif

I think my little walks help me more with stress than anything else I do. Have you been fishing lately? That's a pretty good stress reliever too. If I am not mistaken, you just got a new rod.

I have never tried that but Dawn sure is some amazing stuff. I should try that on my car windshield. I never did get around to cleaning it again after the last time I tried. Still needs it.
