I have a Fulton 20 gauge double barrel made by Hunter Arms. The man it belonged to has long be gone so I am thinking it is pretty old. I should probably google that. heehee It is on my bucket list to shoot it one day.

You should take it to a good gunsmith for evaluation. Some older shotguns have what are called Damascus barrels. They are forged from alternating strips of steel and wrought iron. They were safe enough for the low powered loads available when they were new, but maybe not for today's high-powered loads. I took one that I inherited in for examination, and the gunsmith told me it might be safe, but that personally, he would not shoot it. "I make my living with my hands." He convinced me.

(I like your little GIF; he loads two shells into a break-open shotgun, and fires it four times. Must be a magic gun like in the old westerns: load six shells, shoot all day.)

Good morning. It'll be going up to 72 today, but rain off and on. The critters don't seem to care. The squirrel hangs upside down by his feet from the suet feeder. He gets a bite of suet and then just hangs down and enjoys his snack like he's standing upright!

Hola .. :)

I put mine up about a week ago, started having hits about 3 days ago ..

Winning ...

I hung my feeders out late on Monday and Tuesday morning spotted the first hummer enjoying the nectar. Don't know if it's the same one or not, but one comes by for a sip pretty frequently this morning. I wonder how long they've been in the area before I put the feeders out.

Thank you. That is probably a good piece of advice. I don't make a living with my hands but I enjoy them on a daily basis.

heehee As Mistress of Giffness, I have a gif for practically everything but I never proclaim accuracy.

Hi again, friends!

Weather has been unseasonably cool lately until today, that is. Guess it's that time of year.

Had to bring my car into the shop early this morning and my friend drove me there and then to bowling......going to bowl in the summer league also.......need to keep up my busyness.....helps dramatically.

I truly try to get on here more often, but like they say........just do it........so, I did it! I miss coming here, so will have to rectify that!

Hope you all have a good rest of this Wednesday!

Ciao! :)

I know you are right (you always are) heehee Now that the weather is better, it will be easier to get motivated. At least that is what I keep telling myself. So glad you are getting back to your bowling. You always seem to enjoy it so. If I thought my shoulder and hand could handle it, I would put that on my list of ways to get out into the world.

We love you and enjoy your visit no matter how often or seldom you can post. I was just thinking about you the other day when I was taking pictures of some of my flowers. I would give anything if I had 1/4th of the green thumb you do.

This is so strange on a phone. But, it's all I can get in the hospital.

This is going to take quite a while!

On 27 March, I was admitted to the emergency room. I was in a coma for several days.

On 6 April, I was given 5 stints and calcium was removed from the left artery. There was also an arrhythmia and a couple of extubations for good measure.

I've been in a Recovery and Physical Therapy hospital since 15 April.

The reason for the post is based on how I felt during this. As I lie there, hearing the doctor's tweak the chemicals they were putting in my IV, I felt my condition was so delicate! I became afraid to start vaping again (eventually, in a month or so).

Any advice?

I posted this elsewhere because I wanted it to have it's own thread.

But, the people I mostly want replies from are in THIS thread. So, pretty please any serious advice appreciated.

It's not only Cinco de Mayo day but also my day for a haircut. I wonder if they'll be serving something stronger than coffee today.

I really like having switched to this Italian barbershop, Stagliano's Barbershop, about 5 years ago when my current barber relocated to western NY state.

You could make a sitcom out of this shop. The owner long retired is usually just sitting around while his wife, Tini, and Paul do all the haircutting.

Folks are always just popping in for 5-10 minutes and busting on each other or passing along the latest town gossip. And some bring their lunch and spend their lunch break at the shop shooting the breeze then going back to work.

Oh, and if you find yourself in the town 'klinker' at 2am in the morning, you don't use your 1 telephone call to a lawyer. You call Paul the Barber.

Seems this fellow couldn't get out on bail because he'd have to wait until the morning for a judge to set bail. So he calls Paul, who calls a friend on the city council, who calls a judge, who calls the Sheriff and sets the bail and you're back on the street two hours after being locked up.

I wonder what today's entertainment at the shop will bring.

Morning, misfits.

After one day of sunshine, back to rain. Did get the grass cut yesterday, so maybe it won't be a jungle next week.

Dang, glad you're on the mend! Not a medical pro, so can't really give any "advice" on that. Nicotine is a vaso-constrictor, so the comments in your thread about zero nic may be reasonable, as is stopping entirely. Conversely, most of the damage comes from the rest of what's in combust tobacco. And, of course, many docs don't know the difference between smoking and vaping, so, yeah...

While it sounds (reads?) like a cop-out, maybe just let your body be your guide? If you feel like you want to vape, give it a try and pay attention? And if you do decide to stop, keep all your gear!

Hola .. :)

T :: About 5 minutes after I got checked out of the Hospital from my first heart attack / stents / etc, I promptly lit a Marlboro .. so, I'm not really one that should / could offer advice ..

When the Reaper stares you in the face and you live through it, sometimes tough choices have to be made .. I'll give you an example .. about 3 weeks ago one of my few remaining close friends passed .. 6 months prior to his death, his DR told him if he did not stop drinking, he'd be dead in 6 months .. he was, because he kept drinking .. that's an extreme example ..

On the flip side, personally, I don't see anything wrong with some low nic use when and if you decide to do it .. I probably would shy away from a Mexican Combo Meal for a time, though ..

BTW, did you ever get that tattoo .. ?? ;)

Oh my goodness! You've been through the wringer! So glad to hear you're on the mend.

I agree with David, listen to your body. If you want to vape can you do it with a very low nic? Even no nic might be enough to satisfy you.

Prayers going out for a quick recovery for you!

Dancing ... the other's gave some good feedback. I like the one about let your body and 'head' work together to decide. If you're not missing vaping and not stressing about not vaping then maybe it's time to quit.

If your 'head' still has the desire/craving start off with some zero nice. Maybe it's just the long habit of hand to mouth and inhale that could be satisfied with zero nic.

If you still have urges for or are stressed out about not vaping try some low dose nicotine.

If not vaping is stressing your then experiment. Stress is not heathly so eliminating that will let your body deal with the 'other' stuff better if you mind is more at ease.

My son just called, his youngest is on the way to the hospital with his soon-to-be wife. If everything is alright, they will induce labor. It is David's first grandson. I don't know who is the most nervous. I neglected to hit the post button. No word yet. They didn't have a gender reveal party so I don't know if I'll be a grandma or grandpa.
