Abortion is not birth control. It should not widely be available or practiced. Completely banned...no. There are conditions and situation where abortion can/should be considered and if the woman decides yes in these rare situations (rape, pregnancy threatens woman's life, this types of situations) then a qualified Dr can perform the procedure.

I know you're a Catholic so I'm sure that plays in .. however, I am a Man, and thusly, don't believe I am qualified to make choices as it relates to Womens rights .. to be truly decided, a National Vote of Women Only should be taken, with the winning side becoming the Law of the Land .. that's Democracy ..

The USA should send a squadron of F18's to Ukraine and wipe the Russians in Ukraine off the face of the earth. Then figure out a way to 'off' Putin too. I'm sure bin Laden will share some of those virgins with him.

Yes, yes and yes ..

Biden should get his head out of his behind. Look around and start fixing the problems the average American is facing. Not going after some dream ideals. Are the ideals worth it? Yes in the long run but you can't F-up peoples lives to obtain them.

Exactly how much control over things do you think a President has .. ??

Drill baby, drill. It's OK to drill for oil someplace else in the world and buy it from someone else but we can't drill in our own backyard. Yeah, that makes sense.

Agree to a point .. I don't want to see drilling in Yosemite or the like .. our National Heritage as it relates to these Lands is important .. you being an outdoorsman, I would think would agree ..

We've got to pursue electric vehicles but slow down and plan ahead for a.) where's the energy coming from to charge them and b.) where the heck are we going to dispose of all that lithium.

Good point .. this is why the sodium-ion battery tech will hopefully prove viable ..

Close the damn border. I've got nothing against Mexican's coming into the US legally. I've got nothing against Mexicans being here. They can be industrious and hard working. Our landscaper, Mexican, works two jobs 7 days a week to make life better for his wife and children. A full time job with a commercial landscaper and weekends are filled with side jobs. How many Americans just sit back and life off the dole because work is beneath their dignity or they're just too damn lazy to get out there.

I grew up with illegals, so I am biased .. I agree with you in concept, yet the immigration system is flawed, needs to be over hauled .. most especially for those at the lower end of the economic spectrum ..

Now that I have a little time, I'm going to formally reply .. no one should be surprised .. ;)

It's either all or none .. there can be no litmus test of gender as it relates to making the cut to play or not to play .. there are big females / there are small males .. if a 5'4" male that weighs 120 pounds and is trans, what reason would there be to exclude them from female sports .. ?? I think I'm using the right gender term .. they, them, etc ..

Because then your crossing the line into a form of discrimination - heightism, i.e., prejudice or discrimination against a person on the basis of his or her height. Your excluding tall / bigger trans people from competing in women's sports.

There's no end to the arguments for or against trans people competing in women's sports. It just comes down to how an individual person perceives what is the right / wrong approach.

Just like me and Nermal (and you) we disagree on abortion guidelines. So be it ... it would be a dull world if we all agreed on everything.

Until someone appoints me King ... I can just have my opinion ... I can't proclaim this is the way it should be and so be it, it will be that way.

Morning, misfits.

More rain in the PNW, although maybe some sun breaks today. Still snow higher up, so we really shouldn't complain, especially since so much west of the Mississippi is in deep drought.

Hola .. :)

Just to be clear, I did not disagree .. my stance has always been, I am a Man and thusly I have no inherent right to judgement on Womens Health issues .. that's up to Women, IMO ..

If a new rule were enacted that all Men that fathered an unwanted child were required to get a vasectomy, my stance would be the same ..

That sounds wonderful too. Supposed to get up to 68 here. After all the rain we had last week, this almost makes me feel like doing something really productive. I hope it passes quickly. View attachment 974322
It's kind of like feeling a need to exercise. Just lie down and pretty soon the feeling goes away.

I fear it will only get worse.

Yeah, I may end up resorting to a moped .. I filled up the truck last week at $4.19 and I had a .20 cent Kroger reward credit per gallon .. so $3.99 .. that feels so long ago now ..
