Yeah, I may end up resorting to a moped .. I filled up the truck last week at $4.19 and I had a .20 cent Kroger reward credit per gallon .. so $3.99 .. that feels so long ago now ..
The last time I filled up it was less than 3 a gallon, I think or maybe it was 3.20. So glad I drive a hybrid.

    Since it’s being mentioned….

I feel like women should always have the choice. I (or anyone else) don’t have to agree with it. I am grateful that I’ve never had to choose, because I can’t imagine it being an easy decision to make. It’s not fair to deny that choice based on personal religious views, especially. If you don’t agree with abortion, then don’t have one. It doesn’t give you the right to dictate what someone else can or can’t do with their body - ESPECIALLY when you aren’t going to be the one personally affected. I also feel that if MEN were able to get pregnant, there would be an abortion clinic inside every Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Discount Tire in America.

For FULL DISCLOSURE, I have especially strong feelings about it (and women’s reproductive rights in general) because I carry a lot of personal baggage. I was brought up attending a small, very rural Church of Christ. The amount of hypocrisy and BS was downright astounding, so much that I still don’t know if I could ever attend church (of any type) again. My dad wasn’t like that, but I saw enough awful behavior from others (including my brother) that it still bothers me deeply. So, I’ll be the first to admit my opinions may not appear to be rational to some folks since they are based on a lot of rage. o_O

Agree 100%. It's a woman's body... and therefore should strictly be a woman's choice. It is interesting that as more countries are becoming more liberal with abortion a 'segment' of the USA wants to go back in time. Even though the majority support legal abortion.

That's my opinion as well. I think people who aren't in the situation should mind their own business.

Probably. Have women tried to 'dictate' what a man can or can't do with their bodies in the same way men have dictated to women about what they should or should not do with their bodies? No, women have not.

Everyone knows who is driving anti abortion in the USA. I'm of the opinion that that 'segment' of society should mind their own business... on a host of issues that do not affect them in their personal lives.

Your opinions sound very rational to me. In reality, religion has nothing to do with this, even though they "think" otherwise, and they too should mind their own business instead of trying to make 'certain issues' their business.

There is a very good thread titled "Women, Reproduction, Policy" in the Outside. :)

Hope y'all enjoy your (soon to be) Wednesday. :D

I had a good day with Steven out at the farm. I did a bit of fishing; the bass wasn't interested in my spinners. Then we pull out our sma is WOW!ll bores and irritated the turtles. I hung some targets and patterned the shotgun. All I can say is WOW! I was impressed with the low recoil. I read reviews but waited until I tried it myself. I will clean all the weapons tomorrow and return them to the safe after they are cleaned. Good night all.

    Morning, all.

That's not happened in a while, slept in!

More scattered showers here, so no doubt dry until we go out to do some yard work

Unless you live in some radical Islamic country... is that what we want?

Maybe you should do it more often!

I know it is healthier to have a set sleep schedule. I have tried before unsuccessfully. Is it easy for you to go to sleep also? Just wondering.

    Hola .. :)

So, this morning, I decided to get out early and tackle the yard .. you know, before the real heat kicks in .. after I fertilized a couple weeks back and a rainy period kicked in, the durn grass is growing so fast you can watch it grow ..

At any rate, once I got done, I was still sweating and had to drench myself with the hose a couple times .. it's the humidity, I tell you (oh, sorry, it's now called heat index ..)

    No we do not.

Instead in the USA we have very radical Evangelicals, and "others", who are hell bent on turning our country into an authoritarian fascist regime much like currently exists in Russia. These people want to destroy our Democracy as clearly witnessed with the treasonous insurrectionists, and their supporters, on January 6th 2021 (the Big Lie).

Our history clearly shows the Founders never had that mind. :)

Ok... I'll shut up now. :D

    Changing the subject... :D

@Uncle Willie how are you and your dog coming along?

Hopefully the two of you are getting on well.

I was fairly apprehensive initially about having a small dog .. having only had big dogs in the past .. plus, at my age, I don't want a dog to outlive me ..

Yet, Bela and I have grown accustomed to each other ..

I decided a while back that I would 'Walk the Dog' periodically, although due to it's small size, I feared my Man Card might be in jeopardy with the neighbors .. at any rate, I bought a small collar and a leash, and, it seemed the collar was secure enough .. yet, the dog would wrangle it's head out .. so, I went back to Pets Mart and bought a harness .. got home and sat there with the dog in my lap for at least half an hour trying to figure out how the harness was supposed to go on the dog .. very frustrating .. finally, threw in the towel and went to a neighbors house and asked them .. embarrassing ..

I can make a 10K guitar, fix a computer almost in my sleep, etc, but I can't put a harness on a dog ..

I don’t care what they call it. It’s still humidity to me.

Showtime had a .99 cent a month deal for 2 months as an add on to Amazon Prime .. so, I've been hitting Showtime pretty hard ..

The Documentary on Sheryl Crow is just superb .. watched it last night .. she grew up not super far from St Louis, so a local girl that made good ..

    Well worth a watch ..
