Good morning. Had a little shower move through. Hope Mike isn't getting any rain. At least it's 66 out there so not cold and wet which is much worse than just wet.

I don't understand the whole bitcoin thing so I have no interest in dabbling especially after the crash in the news yesterday. Have the owners of those bitcoins lost all they've invested?

Not much on the schedule today so I get to choose what to do. Prob should make some suet so Mike and feed the birds while I'm gone next week.

I need new eyeglass frames. Their cost has always made me mad. Stick a famous name on them and they charge ridiculous prices. There's only 3 companies that make them all. Think I'll go to Costco and see what they have since my neighbor recommended them. The online places like Warby leave you stuck if you need adjustments so I'm still putting up with the ones I have, but they're very annoying.

When you google the markup on eyewear it says 1000%. They know that people do not have a choice. Older people have to have them to function, and young people use them for a fashion statement.

I thought I would save some money and go to Eye Mart Express. My glasses ended up costing a significant amount more than my father's did at Samsclub. I was due for an eye exam first of this year. it is currently on my ever-growing procrastination list.

This whole Baby Formula shortage that's making the rounds on the News :: Logic tells me Baby Formula can't be that old of an invention .. I mean, Women had Babies since the dawn of Humanity, they had to have been feeding them something and it did not come in a container ..

So, what's the big deal .. ??

It's kind of a "use it or lose it" if the mothers haven't been breast feeding their kids from day 1. If they were expecting to always have canned formula available, and suddenly it isn't, they don't have any alternatives now. I really feel bad for those families, as well as the ones that need the special formula recipes for medical reasons.

Apparently, it can be done even if the person hasn't been breastfeeding. Grandmothers are doing it and some folks are using the old Karo recipe that used to be a regular thing.

Karo syrup and evaporated milk. Before that it was plain old raw cow milk which is what I had as a baby. To wean me from the bottle, my mother let the cow eat raw onions. I never took the bottle again lol.
