The heat is off! At least for a couple days, and not going to be as hot when it does come back. Still no rain here, but they might have gotten some east of the Cascades. Hopefully without lightning starting more fires over there.

We're cooling off a bit too for the rest of the week. But probably, unlike you, we do have rain / thunder showers in the forecast this week.

Good morning. Cloudy and going to 86 today with 74% humidity, but it should get better over the next few days. Seems like this summer is zipping by. My deck plants are starting to look a little scraggly so I guess nature is letting me know we're on the downside of summer.
I'm excited and anxious that we're going to be drawing up the sale papers for the house this afternoon. The house hunting is going to be in full swing very soon.
First up today is my dentist appointment. Feels like I was just there. We've got a fantastic dentist, but I still don't like having to go visit him.

Nowhere in my mind space would ever have conceived or pictured them as in the photo I posted. I still think it's someone else and not them when I look at it. They image from their heyday is burned into my head and that's they way I'll always remember them.
Good morning. Wow, today and the next 2 days are going to be 80 and sunny with lower humidity! 3 nice days in a row!! Guess I'll be taking care of some of those pesky weeds that snuck back into my pristine flower beds.
Finally got this house sale coordinated so we'll be signing the agreement of sale here on Saturday. I can't believe how well this is going. Now we're wondering what could go wrong. Can't wait to start looking for a new place in earnest. Not sure when settlement will be, but the buyers said we could take our time because their house is not on the market yet. In fact, they offered us to stay after settlement if we haven't found a place yet! They remind me of us when we wanted to buy this house. She even brought me tomatoes from her garden. If the row of pine trees weren't in the way we could wave at each other from our front doors.
It's very weird to think of someone else living in this house, but I'm excited to have the new adventure of finding a new house and learning about a new town. And it'll be so nice to be closer to the kids.

Interesting ... a simple twist of fate and their might never have been an Olivia Newton-John. If her grandfather wound up in a concentration camp instead of immigrating to England in time likely there's be no Oliva born.

Max immigrated to England. He became a professor at Cambridge University.
Later, he began working at the University of Edinburgh. There, an amazing nine of his students went on to win the Nobel Prize in Physics. He himself won the Nobel Prize in 1954. Max is known as one of the parents of Quantum Mechanics.
His daughter, Irene, gave birth to his granddaughter, Olivia, in 1948.
Olivia later went on to win five Grammy awards, be named a Goodwill Ambassador to the United Nations Environment Programme, and be named a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
She played Sandy Olsson in the movie adaptation of the Broadway Play Grease.
