I guess posting a Web image now requires you download it and then upload it .. ??
My suggestion is to ask Davidock or Flamingo Tutu. They do it every day, and both seem pretty sociable.I guess posting a Web image now requires you download it and then upload it .. ??![]()
Saw your earlier post where the image was the location of the URL instead of the actual image.I guess posting a Web image now requires you download it and then upload it .. ??![]()
It just so happened that I had some cider vinegar and honey in my cupboard. As far as the taste, well, definitely a toe curler.cider vinegar (with the "mother", and shake well before pouring) and honey
I don't recall, did we always have the ability to paste the image location into our posts and have them show up within a post???
David helped someone who couldn't copy/paste images. You do know you can right-click on the image you want then come back to your post and right-click again and choose 'paste'. That seems to work OK.As a prolific image poster, pre-upgrade, I would open the image box on the post menu, paste the image URL into the box and voila, .. or, you could upload anything that was on your PC .. (Assuming it met Standards ..) ..![]()

I rarely bothered to open the image icon and copy/paste the url. If I didn't copy/paste, I'd download the image to my desktop then drag it into the post.

Every time I go to my pain doctor I have to stand on the scales. So far this year I have gone from about 250 and this last visit I was down to 205. I'm happy with the change and look forward to the change.
Oh, another action movie I can recommend is Seraphim Falls.
Oh and a lot of times I would use BBcode tags ... first I would type {img},then paste the url in w/o a space after the bracket, then type in {/img}. Come to think of it I did this most times. Just use square brackets [ ] not ellipses { }.Yeah, pre-upgrade I mostly did it that way, too, just drag and drop. Although not all pics worked. And also yeah, the paste url method does seem to be consistently reliable. (Maybe more so than drag and drop. Maybe.) Never had to resort to pasting in a url before, but if it works better, I'll deal with it.
I’m sorry things are so rough right now. I am sending lots of virtual hugs your way! You go above and beyond for your dad, but sometimes you have to have help. You can’t look after him if you go down, so definitely take care of yourself as much as possible.I was always taught if you did not have something good to say. . . just keep your mouth shut. Guess that's why I have been so quiet. heehee Another challenging week here.
I had my yearly physical and just knew with my healthy eating and walking that it was going to be awesome. I would have been wrong. I'll just say "smh" because I do not have enough sense to figure out how to add my rat emojis. Way down on my list of things to worry about right this moment though.
Dad had two falls last week. One was not too bad but I had to call for help on the other one. I felt better about not being able to get him up when it took 3 big muscular young men to do the job. His foot slid under a bar on his lawnmower and I was afraid to move him because it could have been broken. They took him to the ER and I followed as soon as I could. Thank goodness nothing was broken, just bruised up and scuffed. He was glad they did not keep him but I was disappointed because I thought I might get some desperately needed sleep. (insert sad rat) Two nights last week I never got any sleep.
It is really starting to catch up with me and I am at the point where I need some help. I have done pretty darn well for the last 7 years considering I have done it alone but the last two months (65 days) have kicked my you-know-what.
I feel like I have depressed y'all, I am sorry. It just "is what it is". Probably should have just dropped in a said "Hello" to everyone.
Anyway, hope you all have a great week.![]()
I saw a show on TV several years ago that had a segment with a fellow tying some beautiful lures. I remember thinking to myself “That would be the most relaxing hobby ever…or the most frustrating.“ He certainly made it look easy, but he had years and years of experience. It was fascinating to watch! Now that would be absolutely F'ing correct. There are dozens and dozens of high quality rooster necks and capes that cost anywhere from $40 to $120 each. That's the most costly fly tying part of fly tying. That stack of plastic boxes should have it's own insurance policy. The capes along with the other materials ring up to a few thousand bucks. But then I acquired them over a 40 year period.
A serious tier has a fair amount of money invested in materials and is likely to have a better stock and assortment of feathers than most fly shops.
A pair of Lady Amherst Center tail feather brings $50. 10 substitute Indian crow feathers (not even the real deal) will cost about $20 and the feathers are less than 1/2 the size of your small finger nail. Or how about a pair of center tail feathers from a Golden Pheasant for $40.
And then there's the collection of Kori Bustard feathers that you can't buy (endangered species and all that). But I have a contact that has an in with zoo's across the country and he gets them from the zoo's in return for donations to the Kori Bustard Society which is a group trying to protect the birds. He's pretty particular about who he passes those feathers along to. Whoa to him who trys to re-sell them on Ebay. John will track him down and report him to the authorities for dealing in endanger species bird feathers. It happened once or twice.
If you get into tying the classic flys with quality material this is not an inexpensive hobby.
I’m glad to see you’re doing better! My ex mother-in-law had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands. She did well with them, best I can remember. That was years and years ago, so it’s likely the surgery may be easier now. But, surgery is still surgery, so I can understand not being in a hurry for it.Good evening, all. I joined a nutrition group. It is a part of Meals on Wheels. I am mobile so I don't qualify for Meals on Wheels. It's not that bad and the fellowship is excellent.
I am just now beginning to be able to type. My doctor said it is carpal tunnel and now a solution if I want to go through the knife and follow up with physical therapy. One of the downsides is that I cannot handle the recoil of any of my personal defense pistols. I did a lot of reading reviews and the pros and cons and decided on the Ruger LCP 2 in 22LR. It is low recoil, and I can pinpoint shot placement. The LCP 2 is excellent and easy to conceal, a true pocket pistol. I know that a lot of people think that the 22LR is not good for personal defense, but anything is better than nothing.
I will need to go cut down the weeds in my yard. The little bit of rain we got and green is starting to show its ugly head.
You could get a pellet pistol and after a few pellets in its hind legs, he might decide to move on down the street. I would recommend one that you pump so you can regulate how hard it hits. I actually have this one and it is excellent .
Crosman P1377BR American Classic Multi Pump .177-Caliber Pneumatic Pellet Air Pistol, Brown
Crosman. Just my 2 cents.
I have also started a couple of extra-curricular courses, Intro to Back Spasms and WTH Just Happened to my Knee.
