Hola .. :)

Weather has been perfect for one main thing the last couple days :: Detailing the truck prior to Old Man Winter making his appearance .. cloudy, mild temps .. I'm about done, wax on, wax off, Rainx, the whole shebang ..

As I ask every year and have yet to get a good answer .. 'Why is it called Old Man Winter ..?' .. it's, frankly, insulting .. that's my Woke question of the day .. ;)

Yeah, long time. I really liked them just for having the exact unflavored liquid I wanted. No mixing needed.

When I drifted into the lazy zone, I would get 48mg Nic and cut it down with my own PG/VG ..

I last ordered 02/2021 ..

Anybody else sell 48mg .. ??

My guess...

New year is, well, new and a baby. Anyone older than that is an old man?

Old Man??? Can't let that pass on by without a bit of Neil.

Lovely Martin acoustic, at least I'm fairly certain that's a Martin. Willie would know for sure if it is and which model.

ETA: Looks like a Martin D-45 to me.

Yes. Nicbase (Delosi) sells and ships 48mg and other blends.

Folks on EFC who have recently purchased their nic are happy with it.

Factoid .. Neil Young owns I think 5 or so Martins that I know of .. one being a 1941 D-28 previously owned by Hank Williams SR and named 'Hank' ..
He plays 'Hank' on a couple songs on his 'Heart Of Gold' DVD (released 2006). It's an excellent show filmed and recorded at the Ryman Auditorium (2005 Jonathan Demme). I ripped the songs from my DVD to FLAC for listening on my stereo and iPod.

Here is the song 'This Old Guitar' from the DVD. Neil plays 'Hank' in this duet with Emmylou Harris.

Neil is one of my favorite musicians. I have a few pro-shot DVD's of his shows from over the years that were recorded at various music festivals and concert halls. Seen him a few times in concert, always excellent. And I love how he "says it like it is" on a host of topics.

A few years back I read a Willie Nelson interview where he went on about the long chess matches he and Neil have (along with their, ummm, alternative vape :thumb: ). I LMFAO while reading that whole article, Willie is a ham.

I was reading more about the older Martin's earlier. Crazy prices for the old ones. Especially the prewar Martin's. Even a '68 D-45 ($1200 list in 1968) can fetch over $50,000. :w00t:

ETA: I'm very confident you've come across some real gems throughout your career. And have many stories you could likely share about those.

Good morning. Just a fly-by. We had the whole family here for a pool day yesterday. Everybody had a great time, especially the 4 boys. They play so well together and it's such fun to watch them in the pool now that they all can swim. We probably ate more yesterday than the past 4 days and it was all delicious!

House hunting is exhausting. There's not much out there in the area we need to be in that doesn't need a lot of work. So, now we're seriously also looking at going in on a property with our daughter and her family. Yep, that has it's drawbacks, but it also has a lot of advantages and will expand the property pool to explore. Can't wait until this is settled. Sigh, back to the search. Maybe something perfect popped up overnight.

Good luck, Janet. I did that with my daughter and it works fairly well. We are showing the house again today so have to load up 3 dogs and 2 kids, leave the house for an hour. I hate this part of it. I am ready to just forget it and stay here.

    Morning, misfits.

Latest guess is we'll be in the mid to upper 70s for the week.

Yes, pros and cons on that. Whichever way you decide to go, good luck on the hunt!!

I've got a bi-jillion pictures of the boys having a great time in the pool. But I think the most memorable part of the day was when they spotted deer in the back yard.

They wanted to try to get closer to them. So they camo'ed up and dubbed themselves the "grass people". What a hoot to see them having such fun.

And no, they weren't able to sneak up on the deer. The deer just took off. They just couldn't get the part together about silence and stealth not just becoming 'grass people' to get close them.

    Hola .. :)

Thanks for the tip .. looks like they have no menthol .. one of the reasons, in my laziness, I used myfreedomsmokes was they offered a 48mg menthol in a 70/30 mix and all I had to do was dilute it down to 10-12mg and add a little of my own menthol or coolada and I was good to go and it was very cheap ..

I've got a rather large 100mg nic stockpile in the freezer, so I guess I'll have to force myself to break out some and mad scientist it ..

My stories are more likely to revolve around more obscure guitars .. such as an Oahu Publishing / Kay 1930's Acoustic with Checkerboard Binding that I fully restored .. the thing just had mojo coming out of it even when it was a basketcase ..

Young tends to stick with guitars .. I do too in my own stash .. and, although I can't speak for Young, I'd venture to guess that D-45 was an indulgence from when he was really starting to make some money .. I just never felt like his style was that flashy, blinged out Martin ..
