It is the weekend and I have absolutely nothing planned. That is okay with me. It was another fast week here. Mostly rainy and yucky.

Good morning people! It's a sunny day here, going up to 45. Today we're going to a birthday party for our 7 year old grandson, turning 8 today. We'll have a little celebration at his house and then we'll all walk over to the Christmas parade held a few blocks from their house.
We have 3 December birthdays in our family. Miles turns 8 today, my sister turns 84 today as well and our 3 year old grandson turns 4 on 12/29. December is already a pretty busy month and this year our move has just added to the hysteria. It's a happy hysteria though so it's all good.

More rain here, snow higher up. Only low 40s overnight, so that's going to have to change to have snow down to 500', as the current guess is. Fine by me if it stays higher

You're not alone in this! It's been gloomy and rainy here in Mi. for weeks!I I'm sorta glad that I can no longer do outdoor sports..skiing, smowmobiling,etc. so I'm not missing the fun! As I post I'm looking at grey skys,,,oh well, the snow will come..sooner or later...then I'll be complaining about that!!It is the weekend and I have absolutely nothing planned. That is okay with me. I am looking forward to my friend coming home tomorrow from the coast. I have missed scooter pootin' with him. I told him last night the first thing we needed to do was go shooting again. There are so many different kinds of ammo. I asked him if he would help me start building my inventory. I mainly just need target practice stuff. I can't wait to go shooting again. I am so easily entertained.
It has been a while since we have seen the sun here and it looks like it is going to stay that way this week too. On the bright side, you can't mulch up wet leaves. It is getting close to just a couple of leaves on other people's trees. I will get them up when all my neighbor's leaves blow over here. For some reason, the wind always blows them to my house.

Yesterday's rain was mostly elsewhere, just a few random sprinkles here, Claim is another front today, then clear and cool for a week.

Morning folks ... today's agenda is to reclaim our daughter's dinning room. There's still many of our moving boxes stacked around in there. Time to look through them for anything we need while we're here and then move what's left to the basement.
One of our cats, Maggie, is taking to the new surroundings OK. Maybe too 'OK' ... she's attempting to become the dominant 4 legged animal in the house chasing Izzy out of the room or keeping her from coming up and down the stairway.e
Phoebe is just the opposite ... she spends her time either in our bedroom or sitting room. I've had her downstairs a few times to show her around but she's not interested. If I put her down she might circle the downstairs once, then immediately head back to her two room suite.

Seems the rain and snow are gone for a bit, most of the week if they guessed right. We did have some sun breaks yesterday, so they might be on to something.

Well, I saw the sun for the first time in a while shining in the windows that I thought I did a good job cleaning. I did not.
I have an appointment today at 1 to file my application for concealed carry and get fingerprinted. At least they will mail the permit to me and I won't have to drive downtown again. I HATE driving downtown. That GPS lady better not tell me to turn on a one-way street again. Grrrr That traumatized me. The last time I had a colonoscopy, dad turned on the wrong ramp getting on the highway but thank goodness he got turned around. It was a good thing I was already cleaned out because that would have done it!

We got probably a bit less than two inches of snow last night. Only going to 35 today but right now we have bright sunshine. If the sunshine continues we’ll lose most of the snow.p

As one of the "Top Five Procrastinators" in the modern World, I finally shlepped my "Old Folks Tax Freeze" paper to the courthouse today .. it's due by the 31st and I had since January to get it in ..
Nothing against the 'Thin Blue Line', but it's just a little nagging to see 2 deputies guarding the only entrance door and watching 'Vikings' on Netflix ..
The Force must fight each other for that gig ..
