Suuure we do
Yes. I mean it this time. I need to stop with the shoes and start collecting ammo and maybe a little gun or three. I am definitely ready to go shooting again at the range I joined. I will be glad when I get comfortable enough to go by myself. There is still a lot I need to learn so I am waiting for my friend to take me. I like trying the different ones he brings. Give me an idea of what I want to buy.

I also can't wait to go because I will get to carry my new range bag and use my new ear protection and glasses. Because I pinched my thumb the last time I went, I also now have some fingerless shooting gloves.

Y'all already know that it takes very little to excite me but I am washing my new sheets. I was waiting on New Year's but since I'm not going to be home, what the heck? They are going to be so comfy (fingers crossed). They are made out of stuff that feels like the throws I use on the couch. I can't remember the last time I had new sheets. That is pretty exciting if you ask me.

I have had the garland and the hooks to hang on the front porch for a couple of weeks and have not got it done yet. I am going to try to do that too today. I am going to have a happy front porch to go along with my happy feet!

I had a small relapse today and bought 3 pairs of shoes. It is not all my fault. My favorite store had Skecher shoes for 50% off. But this is it! No more shoes for me. I have got enough to last me for a good while. Does anyone believe me? View attachment 986607

Hi, Lizards!

I took yesterday and today to slow down and be lazy. I hurt my back while doing inventory at work on Thursday, so I’m hoping that a couple days of rest/Aleve/heating pad will make it a little less angry. I was lifting boxes to stack on a pallet, and one was much heavier than I expected. It didn’t hurt that much at the time, but after about a half hour, my back decided to stage a very strong protest!

There is a lot of stuff I should be doing, but it will just have to wait. I am doing only the necessities, with a liberal sprinkling of TV and knitting. I have to go grocery shopping tomorrow, whether my back likes it or not. I have a list a mile long…hopefully it won’t cost as much as my house payment

I hope y’all are having a nice weekend!

So, the sick grandson we're living with seems over his illness, but his 3 yo little brother had a fever this morning. Seemed fine by early afternoon.

We were supposed to watch our son's 7 and 5 yo tonight because he and his wife wanted to go to a Christmas year end celebration dinner given by the companies his little company sells for. Turns out our son has received the Rep of the Year award fro a company called Oboz. They've only ever given it to a single person once before. Yay Michael!!

Anyway, I drove up to watch his boys because the 7 yo was sick. Ugh! Mike stayed home since he just had covid and also was fighting off whatever our other grandson had. Sure hope these sicknesses are happening now so everyone is healthy for Christmas!

Speaking of Christmas. I've got all my shopping done thanks to the internet. Now I just have to go out and get some wrapping paper. And tomorrow I plan on making cut out cookies that the boys can help decorate. It seems like it's coming together nicely this year despite our disheveled state with the move. Oh, and I still have to write the Christmas letter. They get emailed, but there's still a few I have to snail mail so they might get this Christmas letter by New Years.

Yay Michael! I love my Oboz. I also hope everyone feels better soon!

Our Christmas shopping was done (it's just the two of us) until I went to put a load of laundry into the dryer tonight and it just buzzed. The washing machine has been having issues but limped along after 2 $$ repairs, I keep waiting for it to fail. They're 15+ yrs. old so I guess we'll be off to look for a new set. Ho ho ho ?

Many years ago when our washer broke we went out and bought a new one. Someone said we should get a dryer too because it was just as old and would be going soon. Nah, why replace a machine that's still working. Sure enough, a couple months later our old dryer failed. So, a couple years ago when that washer failed we did replace both. The new ones are much more efficient and the tub is huge. I love it! Now, at our daughters, we're using hers with a smaller tub and boy do I miss mine! It takes all day to do the laundry.

Anyway, good luck with shopping for a new set. You're going to love them.

Morning, all.

Heat wave, only 29 last night, after a high of 35. Likely the same today.

Still chatter about the next front, and it did cloud up late yesterday, and how the cloud cover will hold the heat in. Uh, what heat??

This song's been stuck in my head the last couple-few days. Now I'm sticking it in yours. ;)
I like the song and LOVED the beard. heehee I had not heard that one in a very long time.

I listen to music (all kinds) all the time. Lately, I have been listening to King George. I cannot help but dance, when I hear, Keep On Rollin'. Isn't it wonderful to dance when no one is watching? Life is good. . .

YIPPEE! New washer and dryer are being delivered on Tuesday!

We did the usual internet searches, narrowed down what we were interested in, checked prices etc. We've bought from a family-owned appliance store two towns over for years, their prices are competitive plus their installation & service are great. They're normally closed on Sunday but had special Christmas hours today, lucky us. My pocket is a bit lighter though. On the upside, there's a $100 rebate we didn't know about for buying the pair. I think I snuck onto the Tuesday truck because of the long history, and I happened to mention the owner's name while we chatted. The original delivery estimate was Thursday

Was a very quiet weekend for me which was awesome. Got some cleaning done and some decorating too. I have a happy hearth. I am not sure why it came out pink looking but it is really red with white lights. Everything is making me want to dance.

I am not officially an executor. I wish I had just gone to the lawyer 3 months ago. I do not care what it is going to cost because it is something that I do not have to take care of. The only thing I have to do is go to my bank and open the estate account and go to the license plate place and get the car put in only my name. Sort of sad in a way. What is really sad is my name has been on that title since 2009 and I have never driven it. I will do that soon.

I am going to work extra hard at the gym this week because I already know I am going to have an oinkfest from Christmas to my New Year's at the coast. I am so looking forward to my trip. Not sure how long I will be gone. My friend says we can stay till I tell him I'm ready to go home. heehee (or more than likely when he gets tired of having me around 24/7) It is going to be a wonderful year (even if it is an odd-numbered year). Come on 2023! I'm ready for you!
