On a side note, years ago I had a standing invitation to spend some time at Mike & Janets home .. that kind of went up in a puff of smoke .. doubt their daughter & son-in-law are interested in a strange boarder ..

Standing offer re-opens when we move into a new house. Would be excellent if you could arrive the week we move in, sure could use the extra help moving boxes around.
Been busy here putting up self stick wallpaper in the playroom downstairs. Well, it'll be the play area when we're done. Kate painted the paneling white and the wallpaper looks like brick and is only one the one wall. It's looking a lot nicer than I thought it would. I'm only 1/2 done, but already the kids are much happier going down there now.

More rain, but no snow here. (Well, not for now, anyway!)
Well, my "vote" has always been permanent standard time, but the rest of the State's voters went for permanent DST some years back. Either way, just stop the dang change!!

Totally agree with you! Mike's plan is to change the clocks by 1/2 hr and then leave it alone. Either way works for me.

Sheesh, went out for breakfast this morning and it cost me $135 for 2 eggs, home fries, bacon, toast, orange juice and a cup of coffee.
But it was priceless as all my kids and their kids were included; Kaitlin & Brody and Hux; Michael & Miles and Beckett. And last but certainly not least Janet was along also.

People should not get a vote .. was there a vote when it was implemented .. ?? I think not .. Bring back the consistent, regular time that was, er, classic Old Man Time for such a long time .. we're talking Prehistoric here ..
DST is nothing more than The Man manipulating things .. I mean 'Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is' .. ?? I never have 'Too Much Time on My Hands' .. next thing you know, somebody will want to put 'Time In a Bottle' ..
One things for sure .. 'The Times They Are a-Changin'' .. tomorrow morning, as a matter of fact .. all we can do, is kick back and 'Let the Good Times Roll' ..

Hope everyone has had a great weekend. I did not want to but I had to go shopping yesterday. I did not want to but I had to buy a pair of shoes.
As I was walking through the store, I saw a shirt hanging up and I swear it was the exact color of my shoes so of course, I had to buy that too. I had a hotpink day! The kind that looks like you have to plug it in at night to charge. Got a bunch of other things too. I need to stay home more often.
I tried to post a pic but it said it was too large. I have to figure out what to do about that.
I cannot believe last week I pressure washed the driveway in shorts and got hot and today I am about to freeze. I think I am going to have to get in the shower just to get warm.
With the way I sleep, I couldn't tell I lost an hour. I know it seems like I just changed the clocks in the car not too long ago and now it is time to do it again. Sheesh! It has been long enough that I forgot how and will have to look at the manual though.

Another reason to stop the nonsense...
Several of our clocks set themselves via radio signal, the euphemized "atomic clock" ones. Yeah, atomic. As in AA. But the receiver does get the time tick from an atomic clock
So at least I can use those, or my phone, of course, to know what to set 'em to!Similar threads
