Everybody busy today? Or out Christmas shopping? I think our shopping is done, but still have get things wrapped.
Just got back from our almost 5 year old's Christmas Concert at his school. I'll go back tomorrow afternoon and stay the night because they need a sitter for Fri while the parents are at work.
It's going to be, and has been, in the 20's here at night so it would be nice to figure out how to work this fancy fireplace insert so we can have a nice fire for the first time. Sure is cold enough for it.
We got our Christmas letter finished last night and got it emailed. I still have to print out and mail it off to those who don't/can't use the internet. It would be nice if people received it before the 25th.

That was weird, prices popped up after I started an order, not just on the item I added.

Yeah, so many of the eateries are like that these days .. just pretend you're making an order and discard it when done .. prices are reasonable, $12ish to $20ish .. I eat there at least once a month .. they also make a decent cocktail and have a mediocre beer selection .. at least, at the one I go to

I lost 40 pounds but I think I've gained back about 8. Too much snacking at night (w/o weed).

I have been out of commission since Saturday. I am not sure what I would have done without Ken to help me. It was weird having someone take care of me.
It is scary to be hurt when you do not have any insurance. I thought I was going to have to go to the doctor but I saw improvement today. At least I did not have to stand to tinkle. View attachment 1005368
I went in my medicine bag and pulled out the drugs I did not take for my back before. They sure came in handy this time. When you hear that I took prescription meds, you know I am in pretty bad shape. I honestly think my back messed up because I quit going to the gym. Seems like a lot of things have gone bad since I quit so I plan on going back first of the year. That 10 lbs I gained might have had something to do with it too! grrrr I forgot I had a tens unit. That would have helped I am sure. I opted for the drugs.
Ken had already told me he was not going to leave me and go home for Christmas. That made me feel awful because he needed to spend time with his family. I am better now so I do not know if I can talk him into going by himself. I think I would be fine other than this is our 1st Christmas and New Year's.
We will see how I am doing and I will ponder what I should do.
Missed y'all and posting. But I stayed on a heating pad for 3 days. Thank goodness I am headed in the right direction. Have a great rest of the week.

Off to an annual Christmas breakfast at my old place of work. Hydroelectric plants don't have huge crews, and they always invite us retirees. Sort of like a reunion

Thank you. I am doing much better. I was prepared to go to the doctor but without any insurance, I was glad it started getting better. It has been years since I had a flair-up with my back. I am not sure what I would have done without some help. It was nice to see that Ken can handle everything when I am sick and look after me. At my age, that's an attractive quality in a man.
I love TEMU! My girlfriend in WV got more gifts from me this year because I did not have to consider the cost of shipping (which is terrible nowadays). Temu delivered her Christmas for free.
I made another small order today. Only 18 items this time. I am doing better. I hope to get control of my Temu addiction starting the first of the year. Guess I will make that my New Year's resolution. heehee
