Yes, the back is better. I stopped having the spasms but it is still bothering me. It can take weeks to get over it. I slept for a few hours before it woke me up at 5:30.
We watched different types of movies last night. A bloody one about piranhas and then a cute one named Call of the Wild. Finished up with a funny one called We're the Miller's. I have watched more movies in the last couple of months than I have in the last several years.
Sure is more fun to watch with someone. A good reason to be up early is all the peace and quiet I have missed.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day. We are going to Christmas shop for Ken's granddaughter. This should be fun.

Good morning people.
Got home last night after watching our daughter's 2 boys for 2 days. What great kids they are. They're trying to be on their best behavior because they know the Elf on the Shelf, they named Chippy, is watching. Their daddy can't be home for Christmas morning so Chippy wrote them a note to tell them that if they wrote a letter to Santa he'd see that he got it. So they did and sure enough they got a very official letter from Santa. He told them that some parents have very important jobs and can't be home on Christmas morning, but not to worry because he makes a special trip to those homes so they can all celebrate together when daddy is home. Our daughter is amazing because she couldn't have handled it better. The boys had been very upset when they found out their Dad wouldn't be home Christmas morning and now they feel much better about it. Their Dad is going to drive home late Christmas night so he can be home the next morning, then he'll get a couple hours sleep before driving back to work. (The life of a pilot is not so easy)
Christmas day all 4 boys will be here at our house so they'll have presents to open and can play together. And Mike and I will be happy to have the whole family celebrate here in our new home.

@Rat2chat2 So glad to hear your back is getting better. Sure puts a cramp in your style when it goes out. You know you can still use the TENS even if you're taking drugs. It should help those muscles relax so your bones are free to move normally and get back to working like they should be. Glad to hear that Ken is there to help you, Also, have you tried putting cold compresses on your back. You can alternate with the heat, 20 minutes with each.

While I doubt I'll ever pick up the guitar, I did buy myself a ukulele yesterday, mostly just for my own benefit. I'm a singer who never bothered to learn any instruments in my 50+ years. But one of the things I'd love to do in a year or ten (however long it takes me to sound at least halfway decent) is play and sing at assisted living facilities. Kudo's to you for bringing a little Christmas joy to the residents of the place you will be playing.

I waited until my late 50's to try to play the guitar. I am not very good but enjoy it. I had problems with my shoulder and stopped. I missed it so much, I got a uke and I love it too. Very easy to learn and play. YouTube is wonderful. I also have played the harmonica for a long time. I am not very good at anything (although I throw down on When the Saints Go Marching In). I love music and it has gotten me through some rough times. I tell people that most listen with their ears but me, I listen with my heart. A song can say my feelings better than me.
Enjoy learning the uke. It's fun.
I am having some reservations but I guess I will be leaving for my 6th trip to Tennessee. I may end up laying the seat back for most of the trip but that is okay. I am tough as a $2 steak.

I may be able to use his daughter's internet but once we leave there and go to Waverly, I will only have my phone. I do a lot of amazing things with my phone but posting seems to be harder for me. The site does weird things sometimes. I miss Tap-a-talk. I used to post from there easily and keep up with everything.
I am not sure I could stay away that long either unless I was really busy doing something really exciting. I will try though. I'm sorta hard to get rid of.
