Morning, all.

Looks like we'll have weather, they're just not sure what. But likely the next rain won't be here until tomorrow. Or Monday. Or in an hour?? Nice to have a job you can keep with such poor accuracy...

Ken played the sound of a snowstorm all night long because he said it was supposed to help people sleep.

since you can't hear snow falling so it would just be wind and rain?

Would that be white noise ;) Been seeing ads for a device that lets the user dial up various background sounds, white, what they call green... uh, we just keep a bedroom window open and listen to the wind in the trees.

Ken helped me get up leaves yesterday. It was wonderful having help but somehow, I managed to throw my back out. I am on my phone and can't add an emoji but if I could, it would be the crying one. Last time my back did this I ended up at the ER because I couldn't walk. grrrr

I somehow made it to the Christmas party last night. They had 2 big tables of food and 1 big table of deserts. Yum. I hate it for Ken though because we were home by 9:30 and I was on my heating pad. That is were I am right now and see no change in the near future. I have muscle relaxers but I may have to dig through my medical drawers and find something stronger before the day is over. I hate taking anything so when I say I need a pain pill...I am hurting pretty bad.

Okay, that's enough complaining from this little Rat. Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Woke up to continued rain. Looks pretty blustery out there too. Looks like a good day to make a pot of soup.

Oh Rat, so sorry to hear about your back. Been there, done that and it's awful. Got a TENS? I don't go anywhere without it because it's the only way I can get around at all. I hope your back settles down for you.

Old Man Winter has finally settled in for at least a few days .. I'd been still wearing sandals and socks up until yesterday, broke out the winter coat this AM and the insulated boots ..

My weight is down to 167 and a size 34 pants, I've been stacking my old clothes away and getting new clothes ..

The last couple months, I've been volunteering at a Food Bank three days a week .. there are stories to tell, but not today ..

TEN's, you say .. ?? I have two, one at home, one at the workshop .. both rechargeable units that last a good long time ..

Wow Willie. What are you doing to loose the weight?

Yep, we've talked about the TENS before. Mostly my back has been pretty good. I think stretching my back by bending over forward as much as I can before standing up as I get out of bed in the morning is helping. So far I haven't kept going til my head hits the floor, but even that wouldn't be as bad as my back going out. Watch this, my back will go out this afternoon... Better not, I'm making meatballs for the spaghetti sauce simmering on the stove.

    Less weed ..

If I remember correctly, you and Mike lost some poundage .. although I can't remember if that was pre or post move ..
It was during. We were doing Nutrasystem. We sort of still are, but more and more I'm making my own meals. Thanksgiving didn't help. Our son-in-law was smoking a turkey and I made all the sides. And I made extra so they'd have leftovers for quick meals duiring the week. On Wed. afternoon their youngest got a 102 fever so T-day got called off. We couldn't leave all that food here go to waste! So it pretty much went to our waists. Plus Mike has been snacking. I think Mike's poundage is creeping back up. I put on a couple, but seem to be holding steady.

It's tough to get those rolled in a paper, so kudos to him

Just need, oh, 45 minutes in the microwave to get it dry enough :)

    Morning, all.

Rain actually did come about when they guessed, must have been an error...

Town run on the agenda, thankfully only abut every 6 weeks, but it's time. The hauling in and stowing is the hard part. Well, and at the check-out...

At least that part's mostly done! :)
