They also say you can lead a horticulture, but you can't make her think.

Guess I am in the Easter mood this year. Probably because I have eaten mass quantities of jelly beans.

Dad would never let me decorate for anything (party pooper). So this year, I got out the bunny that I used to put out when my kiddos were little ones.

easterlight.jpg Cute eh? heehee I turned it off after it got dark because I did not want to scare the deer that I have been feeding. They have started coming about 15 feet from the front porch. Ken is smoking and I am talking (imagine that) and they just look at us and go back to eating. Usually, it is just 3 but we have seen more before. I know you are not supposed to feed them because they get dependent on humans but with all the building and traffic and cutting down trees, where do they have to go?

Morning, all.

Yes, the bridge collapse is very not good, but could have been a lot worse. Middle of the night, and the mayday got it closed, so almost noone on it. Of course, major "supply chain" disruption until the waterway is cleared, and probably years before it's replaced. Really hard on the commuters. But only 6 fatalities!

Good morning, David. :) That's just what I was thinking that it could have been so much worse.

Evidently, the deer likes the big bunny because tonight the light was on and here they came. Three were eating right in front of me and there were 4 more in the field beside the house. I love watching them eat. I think one was letting the other know not to get close to the bowl and made a really loud huffing sound and I darn near soiled myself.

I can't believe tomorrow is Friday again! Sheesh!

Our contractor says the bathroom will be finished tomorrow. Hmmm. Hard to believe given what a mess it is right now. He tidies up at the end of each day, but sure looks like there's a ways to go. The floor isn't even down yet and the bathroom still has to be painted. There have been 3 men working in that bathroom - don't know how they managed to move around in there! Also, the hallway and stairway is all painted.

The family is going to be here for Easter dinner so they'll get to see the new finished bathroom. Nice. When our son's boys were here twice this week and they had to run up to check the progress so they'll be pretty surprised to see it done especially since we left the very deep tub alone.

Friday is the home opener for the Philadelphia Phillies. Yay! Baseball is back! It's supposed to be a beautiful, sunny day so we're going to put on our Phillies gear to watch the game. We'll have hotdogs just like we're at the ballpark. Should be a fun day. Our son's boss got them tickets for the game so he'll be watching it in person including doing some tailgating before it starts. Yep, Spring is finally here.

Even with 3 men, that is pretty impressive work. I know it is going to look awesome.

There are so many things around here that I would love to do but since I am not planning on staying, I hate to put all that money into remodeling. I am sure some stuff would pay off on the resale value.

Can't wait to see pics of the new bath!

Good morning all. (and where is Fran with our greeting?) heehee

It is a gorgeous sunny day here. 62 now and going to get up to 71. I sure wish Ken's shoulder felt better so he could take me for a ride. FYI - He says it is starting to feel better. He said it still hurt but was no stabbing pains. I still think he should go to the doctor but I am finished "nagging" at him. I also got tired of asking him to go get a glucose meter so he could check his blood sugar. His glucose and A1C came back awful at his physical. Oh well, he is a big boy and I have retired (sort of) from caregiving.

I have not been to a concert in years and tonight, we went to see Lynard Skynyrd and ZZTop. I am getting old because I think I would have enjoyed buying a CD more. It is a big place and it looks like they would have a better sound system. Especially with the cost of things there.

I knew to take the gun out of my bag but they do not allow vaping in there either. Since I did not make it through the metal detector, they had to go through my purse. I told them it must be my tooter. I told the officer I hated to walk back to the car and he winked at me and told me to zip up my bag. I thought that was nice of him. I did not vape in there but there were lots of people using disposables. Maybe they didn't make the red light come on when they walked through like I did.

I finally got 5 hours and 10 minutes continuous sleep last night so I am going sit here til I get sleepy and go run to bed and see if I can do it again.

Hope everyone has a great Saturday.

The shower was just a small 'plastic' surround. If you bent over to wash your legs you had to be careful not to bump your head on the walls or shower door.

To the left of the shower was the toilet and hidden in the picture (we never used) a standalone bidet. We got rid of that moved the toilet and the existing wall to make the shower area both longer and wider (the new one is 48x42 plus and 12 inches for the bench area).

Great looking remodel, Mike! Bet you're looking forward to completion :)
Indeed! It's like back to a 'work' schedule with the contractors coming each day. We need to be up, showered and dressed by 8am before the contractors arrive.
