Another rainy day here. I sure hope the May flowers are liking it because we're sure getting enough. Hope the rain stops long enough to get the Phils game in.
Oh no. I love snow in the winter, but this is Spring! We shouldn't have snow in the Spring! It's like playing Christmas music before the warm weather of summer is over. Hey Mike, we both got our taxes over and done with today!
It turned out to be a real great day for me. My tax woman told me on the phone that because I did not have any earned income that I did not have to file. I asked her to look over what I had just for my own piece of mind.
One of the places that sent me a check from one of dad's accounts told me they were required to take out Federal taxes and I did get a notice from them. Because I just deposited the money in a Money Market account and did not spend it, she filed my taxes and I am getting back every penny of the tax that company took out. YAY! I'm doing a happy dance and going
to that company.
I was thrilled, to say the least. Now if I could just get Dad's estate over with. It has been a nightmare.

WELCOME HOME! That is a long drive. It is always good to get back home.
Not her, good on ME. She told me on the phone that I did not have to file and I was the one who insisted she look at what I had for my own piece of mind. I would have never known I was due $6500. So I am going to take credit for this one. heehee
I did not make it to the gym yesterday but I did enough running around doing errands. I wish I had not stopped by the thrift store because they had a brand new-looking pair of Sketcher shoes for $6.99. Now I could not pass that up especially since it matched the shirt I found.
I got the rest of the bushes trimmed. I borrowed my aunt's hedge clippers because they were bigger than mine and they helped immensely. I love battery-operated tools. I did make them smaller so some sticks are showing but they will look nice when they fill in and they look much better being smaller.
I went to bed and finished a book and still not sleepy. I am going to go try once again. I can already predict that coffee shall be served late tomorrow.

No warm rocks to lie on here, temp about 10 below normal although they do claim that will change in a few days.

Yep. Some years I do motel it on the second day of the return, depends on traffic, road conditions (weather) and energy levels. Some years, like this trip, light traffic and roads bare and dry, and, well, when just a few more hours to get home, just carry on

As it turned out, I had coffee with Ken and then went to bed. Got a little sleep. Yesterday it was upper 70's and today the high was 54. I am not complaining though because at least we do not have snow like my friend in W VA. I did not make it to the gym or got my steps in because the weather change bothers my joints. I stepped into the shower if that counts.
I slept this morning and Ken went to bed early tonight. Now that is a relationship I can handle. heehee I think I will take a couple of antihistamines and see if it will help me sleep. I need it because tomorrow is yardwork day. I am going to do the trim work and edging and Ken gets the riding part. Something is wrong with that picture. Oh well, it will take him a lot longer than it does me. I fly on that thing. This will only be the second time he has mowed. I did it all last summer because of his broken ribs. He has no excuse this year.

It counts. Whenever I feel the need to exercise, I step in for a warm shower, and the feeling goes away. Works every time.

There is just all kinds of wrong with that! I know you are used to it but someone did not get the memo that Spring is here! I got a taste of it but now it is back to chilly. Chilly is okay with me. I have not seen a snowflake in a couple of years and that's okay too.
