Morning, all.

Nice weather continues here, although still dry. Maybe we can send some of that east...

Probably needed more lubrication before trying that! :)

Or maybe she had too much lubrication and that's what gave her the courage to attempt it. o_O

Yeah, I tried pole vaulting yesterday .. it did not go very well ..

'It's not the heat, it's the humidity .. ' .. no, it's both .. hit 95o today by 10:30 AM ..

The beach is probably too hot and too crowded so I'm not to disappointed that I did not get to go. I am however, quite disappointed that I am still hobbling around. I have a huge and very purple bruise on the back of my thigh. Just so you know, I completed my cartwheel and did not fall. I did not know there was bruising with a hamstring injury. Guess it will take a while to heal. I got time!

Good morning. We're getting a break from the heat. It's only going to 85 today. We were hoping for rain last night and we did get some, but only enough to wet the leaves so we're going to have to water everything today.

We had a crew come in and re-do the flower beds with edging and mulch and they got rid of the old bushes. It looks so much better, but kind of naked now. After the heat of the summer is over we'll replace the plants and bushes.

We're having the boys come over today to pick up tons of sticks in the yard. Mother Nature decided the trees needed cleaning out so she sent a lot of wind the other day and made a mess.

Today is our 54th anniversary. We're going to be busy today so we'll go to dinner tomorrow. We have a lovely restaurant right here in town that Mike has yet to enjoy so this is a good excuse to enjoy a nice dinner out.

Morning, all.

If we got rain overnight, it seems it missed the ground... but temps are still a tad below normal, so not all bad.

Just so you know, I completed my cartwheel and did not fall.

Well, I hope the youngsters at least bought you a drink or so for your success! Not sure I could do that any more, but sure I wouldn't try!

Today is our 54th anniversary.

Congrats! Here's to another 54!

Hmmm, I had no idea that bruising is very common with hamstring injuries. Makes sense though. Take care.

Sometimes it feels like my brain isn't connected to my body. I'm sure I could do a cartwheel, but I'm afraid my body wouldn't obey.

It is a cloudy/light rain day here. I have not been outside yet but it's still warm. Supposed to get up in the 80's. I may go outside to look at the tomato plant. It has a couple of almost ready-to-pick tomatoes that I want to get before the squirrels help themselves.

I am relaxing today and it feels pretty good. My leg is no better but at least it is not worse. It is just going to take some time. No more cartwheels in this o'l gals future!

@Rat2chat2 Thank you so much Tory.

Hey, I was thinking that if you'd gone to the beach you're right, probably would have been too crowded and also, you might have ended up with a bad sunburn to boot. I hope your hamstring heals quickly. Don't push it. From what I hear you can make things a lot worse. We need you in good shape so we don't miss any of your exploits.

I want to get back to exploiting too! heehee

Got up a 4:30 because I could not find a comfy position. It will be a week tomorrow since I tried that silly cartwheel. Sheesh! I read about hamstring injuries and I have already found out it is not a mild case. I am hoping it is just a partial tear which says weeks or months. I can't imagine dealing with this for a year if it is a complete tear. Has anyone here ever had this?

At least I enjoyed my coffee and got my sheets washed. I think it is going to be another hot day here. My grass is getting rather crunchy. It is nice not having to mow though.

Enjoy your day!
