Meet Me in St Louie Louie
Picked up the new truck today .. fer cryin' out loud, it's like having to learn how to drive all over again .. vehicles have become rolling concoctions of tech .. do dads for every this and that .. then, it seems like it wants to take over for you at times .. will take a bit of getting used to ..

When I got out of the Army in 1970, I had some exit money I got, as well, my combat extra pay went into it's own account (my Parents) .. so, I had a little coin and bought a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T .. the whole enchilada .. 425-hp 426 Hemi, SlapStik ratchet shifter, I think I paid something around 4K .. it was a great, great car .. never passed a gas station it did not like, course, back then, who really cared .. ?? .. chick magnet like crazy ..

I was so stoned one day, tooling around some country roads, I accidentally shifted into reverse doing about 60 .. and, it did not blow the transmision ..

The next, and last Crysler product I owned was a Crysler Cordoba .. remember that .. ?? Ricardo Montalban and Corinthian leather .. drove like a road yacht, when you could drive it .. just a real POS .. 1979 model .. 400 CI V-8 .. never, ever regretted getting rid of that lemon ..

    Morning, all.

Actually got a bit more rain yesterday evening, and the temp continues to play nice. Even chatter about more rain over the weekend. We'll take it :)

Seems we might be into a week of fall like weather, cool temps, overcast, random showers. :)

Did you get the 4" thick manual? Yes, lots of bells and whistles are now the norm, whether or not you want them.

    1. When one door closes and another door opens, you are probably in prison.
    2. To me, "drink responsibly" means don't spill it.
    3. Age 80 might be the new 60, but 9:00 pm is the new midnight.
    4. It's the start of a brand new day, and I'm off like a herd of turtles.
    5. The older I get, the earlier it gets late.
    6. When I say, "The other day," I could be referring to any time between yesterday and 15 years ago.
    7. I remember being able to get up without making sound effects.
    8. I had my patience tested. I'm negative.
    9. Remember, if you lose a sock in the dryer, it comes back as a Tupperware lid that doesn't fit any of your containers.
    10. If you're sitting in public and a stranger takes the seat next to you, just stare straight ahead and say, "Did you bring the money?"
    11. When you ask me what I am doing today, and I say "nothing," it does not mean I am free. It means I am doing nothing.
    12. I finally got eight hours of sleep. It took me three days, but whatever.
    13. I run like the winded.
    14. I hate when a couple argues in public, and I missed the beginning and don't know whose side I'm on.
    15. When someone asks what I did over the weekend, I squint and ask, "Why, what did you hear?"
    16. When you do squats, are your knees supposed to sound like a goat chewing on an aluminum can stuffed with celery?
    17. I don't mean to interrupt people. I just randomly remember things and get really excited.
    18. When I ask for directions, please don't use words like "east."
    19. Don't bother walking a mile in my shoes. That would be boring. Spend 30 seconds in my head. That'll freak you right out.
    20. Sometimes, someone unexpected comes into your life out of nowhere, makes your heart race, and changes you forever. We call those people cops.
    21. My luck is like a bald guy who just won a comb.

    Good Sunday morning to all!

Not much exciting is happening around here. I did go and get my hair cut. I needed it badly. I made an appointment with my fav server from my fav restaurant. He works two jobs. I have only been to a salon a couple of times, so this was a treat. I told him I did not care what he did as long as I could still get it in a ponytail for working in the yard. I even told him I did not care if the ponytail was 2 inches long. I was expecting it to be a lot shorter but I am ok with what he did. He cut 9 or 10 inches, and getting the dead ends off feels so good.

Perry took me to see his granddaughter play softball. I think she is 10. It was cute but those bleacher seats were not comfy at all. If I am going to start doing that regularly, I am going to have to get a cushion. I wish I had some of my excess fat where it would help.

Bet you're glad it wasn't a double header! Yeah, they're not made for comfort. You're supposed to be standing up cheering on your team ;)

This was an interesting day, We went to our daughter's last night because now that school has started the birthday parties begin. Our 7 year old had a roller skating party this morning and we picked him up at the end so his mother could go get a well deserved massage. Holy roller skates batman, you should see that kid skate! We had no idea. While he was at the rink we had stayed home with the 5 year old until it was time to pick up his brother. Then, after Mom was done with her massage we took both boys to meet her so she could handle the 5 year old at his party - at an ice skating rink. We didn't go to that one with them, we came home instead. Mike got the Phils baseball game on his phone so we could keep track of how they were doing on the way home. We got home in time to see them win today.

Tomorrow should be a calm day so maybe I can finally get the garden in shape. I have a bunch of tomatoes to cook down. I'd like to use the sauce to make lasagna soup - a recipe I found recently that looks delicious!

That's a lot of hair to trim! Your head must feel so much lighter!

Were they the aluminum bleachers? Ugh. Not only are they hard, but they're so cold too! Definitely need some padding on bleachers. A folded blanket should help a lot until you get a cushion. Your dad had so much stuff I'm surprised he didn't have cushions somewhere,
