thanks Fran. Quick would be nice. Doc said I was/am pretty sick, don’t be surprised if it takes you 2-3 weeks to fully recover.
I hope recovery will be on the light side of that 2-3 weeks. Fingers crossed for ya:wub:

Good morning. Wow, it's going up to 62 today. It's going to feel like Spring! By-the-way, Spring will be here in 2 months and 2 weeks. Hang in there everybody!

Anybody heard from Willie? I hope he hasn't caught this pneumonia bug that's been going around.

We haven't seen our daughter and family since a couple weeks before Christmas because she's been sick and then Mike was in the hospital. Then they left to spend some holiday time with that side of their family. They won't be back until 1/2/25 so we don't expect to see them til maybe mid January. We'll be giving the boys their Christmas presents long after our decorations are put away!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas or whatever holiday festivities you celebrate. We're wishing everyone a happy, healthy 2025!!

Geez ... has the lounge been closed for renovations or 'sumpin'? Not many visitors in the last week. Well my excuse has been this dang double pneumonia. It's still hanging on and leaving me feeling as weak as a wet noodle. Walk across the room and I have to sit down and rest.

I did finally go out yesterday for a short errand run. And boy was I pooped by the time I got home.

vaping? What's that. Just yesterday for the 1st time in well over a week I tootle-puffed a bit just taking the vapor in my mouth and exhaling, like 'smoking a cigar'. It helped with the hand to mouth habit. I may be doing this for a while before I subject my lungs for a full inhale.

Stay healthy everyone ... being sick sucks.

Thanks Fran. When I was discharged from the hospital on the 23rd, the doc said expect 2 to 3 weeks to recover. When I had a follow-up with my primary Doc on the 27th he said it could take 3 to 4 weeks. Somehow I've got to prove them both wrong. I've been dealing with this since Dec 7th and I'm quite ready to be done with it.

I'm fine, but thanks for asking .. I simply don't do well emotionally during the Holiday season, so I have tried to stay busy doing this and that as well as some volunteer work ..

Just have not had much to say

Well, even if this is a tough time of year for you, nice to hear from you. It’s been a while since we have. Now if @DavidOck would check in that would be nice too. He hasn’t posted here or in the funny animal gif thread in over a week. And he was dang consistent posting daily.

    Yo,.

Just out of the hospital late yesterday, after a week in stir. Delayed reaction to chemo, it seems, blood work crashed, extreme neuropathy in both legs, as in I could see them but zero feeling.

After a mess of tests, scans and such, right is back to normal, left still only about 75%, but fully functional.

Diagnosed with small cell carcinoma late October, have had 2 rounds of chemo so far and seem to be responding well. The "presenting" symptom was a small mass on my neck that grew to nearly 3" by 2" in a matter of weeks, and it's now not detectable by touch, so that part looks good anyway.

NOT lung cancer, so despite 45 years smoking and 12 vaping, they can't blame vaping :)

Hanging in, planning to beat this.

Yeah, hard to do much online from a hospital bed!

oh my! My bit in the hospital was nothing compared to yours. Good to hear the treatment(s) are yielding positive outcomes. Best wishes going forward to “beat it”. Post when you can. You’ll be in my prayers.
