Not sure if you know already but they make counter top single use conduction units. We're probably going to get one ourselves soon to test out. Fairly priced.
I love my countertop one. I have the NuWave, have to be careful of the cookware, only certain ones work with induction. I had a brand new stainless steel set that didn't work on it which is odd. I use ceramic and it works great.

Meet Me in St Louie Louie
'In the forest, there was a crooked tree and a straight tree. Every day, the straight tree would say to the crooked tree, ‘Look at me...I'm tall, and I'm straight, and I'm handsome. Look at you...you're all crooked and bent over. No one wants to look at you.’ And they grew up in that forest together. And then one day the loggers came, and they saw the crooked tree and the straight tree, and they said, ‘Just cut the straight trees and leave the rest.’So the loggers turned all the straight trees into lumber and toothpicks and paper. And the crooked tree is still there, growing stronger and stranger every day.'

    Good morning people.

Mike has been pretty sick for a week with a head/sinus cold. His fever came back on day 7 so off to the doc we went. Got him started on an antibiotic. So, of course yesterday I got it. NO! Fevers are not good! I can't be sick! Too much to do. I was sick enough to not get off the couch all day. Our DIL went to the grocery store for us and picked up some juice and chicken soup and Musinex. Wow, after feeling so horrible yesterday this morning it feels like I'm cured! Whew. Mike slept all day yesterday, but he seems almost human today. Now he's just dealing with the head cold that has moved to his chest. I guess we're both on our way to being healthy for Christmas,

I did know about the single ones. I see them a lot on the cooking videos. With this new 6 burner stove I just can't justify spending the money to get one especially if I have to get new cookware. The newer cookware advertises if they're compatible with conduction burners. They do intrigue me though.

11 days and counting … still sick. And I’ve been on antibiotics a steroids for the last 3 days. It started 2 Fridays back. By mid-week I thought it was passing. But then Wednesday while sitting quietly eating dinner by myself (Janet was doing an over night at Kates) my iWatch popped up this “you seem to have been sitting still the past 10 minutes and your pulse is 110BPM”.

What? And then the head/sinus cold came on with avengence.

I'm happy to say that he has seen improvement. He's not moaning on the couch and clutching furniture for support if he has to move from room to room. He's just got to put up with the cold until it passes. The doc says his bp and rapid heart beat are not unusual given the fever and infection and that seems to be back to normal.

Meanwhile I'm back to making cookies and trying to get organized for Christmas. There's a couple houses in the neighborhood that have put out a lot of decorations. It looks lovely, but I can't help but think that all that stuff has to be stored away somewhere. Guess it's official, I'm an old fogey thinking like that!!

Still have not found anyone to work on the washer so I have started looking at what is out there now. I am just going to have to live with a mix-match set.

Had my eyes checked today and they are sending me to another doctor to talk about cataract surgery. I am excited actually because he says he can get me better vision and I've never had 20/20. It will be a while though because they told me it would probably be March before I could get an appointment. They sure are busy.

Went to my first family reunion. It was Perry's family but everyone was very nice to me. The only reunion my family had were when someone passed away.

I made a big crock full of deer cube steak and I thought I'd have some to bring home and freeze but nope, they ate every last bite. Everyone thought it was the best they had ever had. It is such an easy dish to make. I sure have gotten into deer meat. I will never fix any spaghetti with beef again. So lean and tasty too. I always thought it would be wild-tasting.

Hope everyone is having a good start to your week.

I had cataract surgery for both eyes. Definitely not at the same time, but I was delighted with both eyes after surgery.

Personally I'm thrilled with my improved eyesight after my cataract surgery. Even all my floaters went away. Nervous going in and then couldn't wait to get the 2nd eye done. I think it's standard to wait 2 weeks between getting the 1st and 2nd eye done and the only hassle was all the eye drops before and after.

    Blast From the Past ..

Anybody ever hear anything about Sandra (Yiddle) or Johnny (Iffy) .. ?? Or even Kay, for that matter ..
Funny, but I was just thinking about them and Grace. No, I haven't heard anything and don't have private numbers. Especially at this time of year I think of friends we haven't heard from for a long while.
