Good afternoon Beach hunks n dolls!
Got some new equipment recently ... tried it out and it is a stellarly fantastic little tool. And it's also great on stairs and upholstery. I have a client whose several cats are always sicking up on one of their several cat trees, the couches and in various places on her carpeting. Folex takes almost any stain out no matter what it is or how long it's been there, but I wanted something that gets down a little deeper to remove the odor, so I got this little gem, tried it out and can give it an enthusiastic thumbs up. It works great on my couches ... turned it from a deep blue back to it's original soft aqua.
My steam cleaner won't extract anymore unless I put a 50lb dumbell on top of it to weight it down during the passovers, and also the little motor that works the power brushes musta burned out. It's 10+ yrs old, so I think instead of getting it repaired, I'll give it to a vacuum repair shop to use for parts and move on to something a little easier to get parts for.
I prefer Hoover over Bissell for performance and speed, so I'm headed over to Walmart right now to pick up a new Hoover MaxExtract Dual V Carpet Cleaner. Retails for $240 ... Amazon sells it for $232 BUT Walmart has a current rollback on it ... can pick it up for $109! a stellar buy! On my way out the door as soon as I get dressed and looking human. Going over b/c I think I remember them from a coupla days ago on the shelf with the same price.
I mentioned this in case anyone else is looking for a carpet steam cleaner ... this one actually has a heating element in it (rare for the household size) ... but has to be ordered online only through walmart.com to be delivered free to their local store.
Every single one of my clients who has a double-story has coffee dribbled all the way UP and all the way DOWN their stairs from repeatedly running downstairs to make coffee and then running back upstairs with it to drink as they get ready for work. Bad for them ... good for me.

Wow, how scary, another member who loves cleaning appliances as much as I do!!! LOL!!!
Hubby offered to get me the new Dyson Pet vac for Christmas, but they are ridiculously expensive, made in the UK (I suspect Rube Goldberg is British) and have to be maintained by authorized distributors, so nixed that idea....have been keeping my eye out ever since.

Every time I scrape it off, more comes down. Not massive amounts - just enough to be a PITA and add to the persistent mountains of it that are already there.

Ok, I lied. Massive amounts of snow coming down now. Radar indicates that this can't last for too long.

Those pics are looking pretty dang good about right now. No warm up in sight for us....unless you call 25 degrees a warm up! But I guess complaining about the weather is not going to do any good. I need to MOVE. But then I would have poverty to complain about since this is where the paycheck is.
