Been vaping for 2 weeks, after 5 years of smoking ten analogs a day I feel far better than I did over the last couple of years, breathing is getting better and feeling fitter, I have been exercising over the years I smoked but feel more fitter as a result of cutting out the tobacco smoke.

You're a babe compared to some of us. I've been smoking 40 years and smoke about 2 large packs a day. I don't inhale now since I was diagnosed with Emphasema, but it's still bad. Glad you got off those death sticks. Wish they had these things years ago.

I mountain bike... When I started using my e-cig 3 days later I could feel the improvement! I can ride faster harder and it never hurts to breath! And when I am out of breath and tired it doesn't last long..

I feel so much better! Why would they try to take this away....

samysam1313, you can buy carts for the 510 or refill them with your own juices. It's a lot cheaper to buy the liquids or make your own. Don't forget the copper colored JOYE 510, it's really pretty! I think you'd have to see it in person....

Sample packs are good because then you don't get stuck with a lot of juice you don't much like. Also, try the "pear lung juice" from nhaler. Read about his lung juices on his site here:

Liquids - Nhale/Xhale - NHaler

I'll be back!

I have learned that it is a lot cheaper to buy liquids and refill the carts yourself. Do you know if the 510 carts come prefilled? And are they refillable or will I need to get other carts? The details are not obvious on the web sites.

I checked NHaler this morning. Found it from another poster. Drew said he doesn't usually ship to Canada but can. Nice to know. The post I read about it was by youtubecommercial. They recommended Drew's health juices. Not sure what Pear Lung Juice is. Can you give a bit of detail on this juice? Youtube mentioned how much better she was after using this juice. Does it have something in it that helps heal? I kinda got that impression.

Oh.....I forgot to say that Drew's 'Pear Lung Juice' on nhaler is a big hit with the members here, very highly spoken of. It's yummy, and maybe even good for you.

We'll teach you how to make the 'Pyramid Tea Bag' filler for your carts. They work very well and you can just rinse them out and use them again and again.

Guess I will definitely have to try that Pear Lung Juice.

Appreciate your being my teacher. You all have been. I did see a video about how to use tea bags as filler. Never seen pyramid bags here though. I also saw about using aquarium filter stuff. Have you tried that one and do you know which is better?

Good going laidbak. Our gov't here in Canada isn't any better. Health Canada has a warning not to use ecigs. Nuts ain't it? The gov't is more worried about loosing all that tax revenue. I'd be very surprised if they ever endorsed these things. I'm expecting to hear they've been baned.

Yeah, it's ridiculous to me we see all these improvements... Even our doctors notice, but yet FDA say's their bad come on WTF. But, I would be ...... too if someone was trying to take my billion dollar making population control product away too.

You know in all honesty I would even be willing to pay a tiny bit more for an e-cig and juice and feel better than pay less for analogs and feel how I did a month ago!!

I'm the perfect answer to your question!

I smoked 4 or 5 cigs per week, hardly a lot.. but still enough to build up noticable amount on my lungs over the last 5 years.

I am a personal trainer, I can run a mile in ~6 minutes on average, (my best is 5:39), but im also 210 lbs and 5'8 - so i'm not built like a runner :p

since switching to a vape, while i havent increased my time by anything significant (a few seconds faster on average, but that can be from sleeping better among many other factors) but after my mile my chest is not as tight and breathing isn't as pained. I have been coughing a little bit, but that just means that my body is cleaning out the tar buildup because i haven't been contributing to it.

Keep in mind, i'm smoking non-nicotine cartidges, but i am also vaping about 10 times as much as i used to smoke (about 5-6 cigs per day worth) because it's so much fun, and doesn't hurt my lungs.

I can easily say if i increased my analogue intake 10 times, i'd feel sick and horrible right now.. not increasing my mile times ;)

My husband and I went out and got a load of wood this afternoon. (We burn wood to save on propane.) Anyway, he cut, I hefted the chunks (the wagon sides are taller than I am)! Out of breath, yes, a bit, then I broke out in a sweat and kept on going, it was warm out. Last year my face would have been beet red and I would have had to stop to cough every two minutes. My lungs would have felt on fire. Not this time! Really, I can see and feel a huge difference in both lung function, lung capacity, and energy level is very much improved, exponentially, in fact.

Just fond the very same thing at:

Black Joye510 E-Cigarette Starter Kit ( 2 Manual Switch E.Cig) : Wholesale E-Cigarette - China Ruyan Wholesale - Discount Electronic Cigarette Wholesale From China

for $29.98 US. Looks like the same packaging too. I'd kinda like to have one of each color. In this one the Batteries are both black.

Update: Health Cabin shows 2 colors. Black & White. Gives the idea that there are one of each color in the kit. Turns out only one color comes in each kit. But you can buy seperate parts so you can have the colors you want.

Hey PaulZ. I have to apologise. I sort of laughed. You're more of a babe than UtdVare above where smoking is concerned. Compared to us old veterans, you're hardly a smoker at all. LOL. But I agree. Any smoke is too much. Glad you got off those things before you got like me. Even if you vape more, so what? It's still a whole lot better than the few cancer sticks you were smoking.

samysam1313, when you've wearied yourself trying out all the juices, try this recipe:

4 ml (cc) Vegetable Glycerin
8 drops Distilled Water

Shake well and enjoy a refreshing Vape!

I'm serious. The last year when I was smoking, it hurt. And that was distressing to me. I wanted it to feel good, but it didn't any more. If I inhaled anything at all, it made me cough and feel bad. I was like at the end of the road.... The recipe above does not hurt when I inhale it, it's very smooth and full of tasteless vapor, like what comes out of a humidifier, so I don't feel that throat hit I so enjoyed when I was younger, but made me hurt when I got older. I'll let you know how I feel about this recipe above after a few days of using it solely.

Please do let me know. I never get any throat hit either since I can't inhale. Be interesting to see what it's like vaping. I'm getting so much advice, that I'll have to come back and re-read this thread once I have my ecig. Hard to keep track of it all. I've never even vaped yet and I'm getting to be an expert on all this. LOL. I'd like to try some of Drew's Health juices too, but don't know if I can get it through Customs. That seems to be the biggest problem here. Most US company's don't ship here and those that do say "at your own risk". Getting stuff from China seems the easiest, but I think it's always a risk that Customs will seize it. Not a big prob for cheap items. Would hate to spend 100 bucks just to have it confiscated. Plus they don't notify you when they do this, so you wait and wait then figure you'll never get it. That's why I don't usually buy online. But no choice with ecigs and supplies. No stores to buy it in.

I really sympathize with your situation in Canada. We in the US need to count our blessings that we can order and receive so freely. That would be awful to have a shipment confiscated. But if you can get your stuff, I have no doubt that Drew will send you enough juice to last a good long time as he's known to be very generous indeed.

The thing with inhaling is strange. At first I was just blown away that I could actually inhale the vapor and feel no ill effects. But as these 3 weeks have gone on, although I have about 12 different flavors and can still inhale the vapor, I simply 'feel better' vaping basically water (although the majority of it is VG (vegetable glycerin). I've never used PG (proplylene glycol) because it's too hard to obtain, and I don't really understand what it's good for. The VG is famous for giving great vapor. I get clouds and clouds of vapor with my Janty Stick!

There is no doubt about it, Drew's Pear lung juice and Njoy's cartridges of Vanilla and Traditional (whatever that is) are wonderful flavors. So, maybe what I'll do in a few days, after experimenting with VG and distilled water, I'll add just a touch of Drew's juice to my bottle and see what happens.

Which PV did you order and when do you expect to receive it if all goes well? Oh, remember when you take puffs, to draw on the mouthpiece long and slowly, very slowly and long, even though you won't get much resistance, and you'll get the best vapor output. You can practice now. :)

Hi thewomenfolk. Can I call you folk for short? Or whatever you like? Or do you insist on thewomenfolk?

Anyway, I just received my very 1st ecig yesterday. The cheap one from China. Seems pretty good quality for the price. I couldn't wait to try it. Was pleasantly surprised. It does feel like a real cig. More than I thought it would, only much smoother. I didn't think it would. I even tried inhaling and had no cough or anything. Only thing, the flavor in this one is supposed to be Menthol. Not any Menthol I ever tasted. The taste isn't great, but tollerable. Don't think I could vape that too long though. It kinda stays with you. Even when I smoked a real cig, I could still taste it. Pretty cool thing though. It's really neat. I can't get over it. Anyway, it didn't take me long to decide to order my 510 now that I had a clue what it was like. I found a great deal right here in Canada and it's local too. He only sells the 510, but has all the supplies, lots of flavourings and a good sampling of pre-mixed liquids. The PG and the VG too. So I got those too. Can't wait for this one. Note: I only smoked half of what I usually smoke today. Only one ecig, so it's been charged 3 or 4 times already. LOL. It's back charging now.

I contacted Drew. I can't Register on his web site, so I'll see how it goes about ordering from him. I really want to try that Pear Lung. Don't want it confiscated at the border. You say the PG is hard to get. It's a lot more common than the VG from what I've seen. Back later to give my view on this new experience.

samysam1313, you can call me anything you want. hahahahaha :D

That's so cool that you're catching on to all this! Remember, this is only the beginning. You'll only get better and better. Now, after you've perfected the 510, take a hard look at the other 'Mods' like the Janty Stick, if big vapor is your thing. I love my Janty Stick so much I just ordered another.

As for juices, I'm convinced this just takes time. You're lucky to have a supplier right there, for both the 510 and juices. What I'm hoping is that I can find 'that perfect juice' and just use it exclusively. But I do understand a desire to have different flavors too.

My experiment with just VG and no nicotine hasn't worked out too well. Because I slipped up and craved a flavor....pear lung juice. So I'll have to start that experiment again one day. I'll let you know when.

I'm so glad you've finally got a PV and have given it preliminary approval! You'll learn in short time how to get a good flavor and big vapor, and then hopefully make the switch for good. For me it was easy, because I couldn't inhale the cig any more, and like you, I found the PV easy and smooth to inhale. You can certainly control the throat hit with these too.

Keep reporting back!

before I began vaping I was using an asthma inhaler 2 to 3 times a day. It was progressing more each month. Now since I quit smoking in May I no longer have asthma at all. My sinuses and lungs are completely clear. It's like I never had a problem.

More good new. I'm reading more and more posts like this. Thanks for sharing. I love reading posts like this. So glad you are so much better. Great news. Keep us posted.

I myself use 3 puffers. don't know if I'll ever be able to go without, but I am encouraged by all of you who post your progress. Especially on health issues.

That IS good news. Yea, Primatine Mist to the rescue. But no more.

Well, I feel guilty for giving up my experiment so I'm back at it. I'm vaping only 4 ml of VG with 8 drops of distilled water, oh so easy to mix, and I'm getting tons and tons of vapor out of this Janty Stick. Although it's got no flavor, it actually does feel refreshing....the flavors can get old quick at times, and even leave a not so good taste. I think it's a real science finding the perfect flavor. Anyhoo....back to my plain vape. :D

Wow, I came to the forums tonight to ask this exact question.
I was curious as to whether people felt they could breathe better or if inhaling something is inhaling something and still messes with the breathing.
The order was placed today for my first starter kit and I was excited.
Seeing so many people claiming to breathe better now has me in official, "It hurts to wait." mode.
I hope that I will be lucky enough to breathe better when I start vaping.
Afterall, if I can breathe better, I can breathe better.
Here's hoping to stepping up the performance!

Jodans, believe me, you will not believe the difference you'll experience in breathing after you start vaping and quit inhaling smoke. Have you ever envied other people in the grocery store that looked like they could breath normally.... Well, that'll be you and you won't believe it. You must come back here and share your experience with us! You've got good reason to be real excited! What I still can't believe is I've had zero desire for a cigarette since I started vaping, and there are no words to describe that miracle.

Samysam1313, by golly, your thread has turned into 8 pages already, which to me means you're already a success! :D
