Yeah they were, as were we :).
    Just is strange, ya know?
She is soooo different from me. It's a good thing

I can imagine ... been at my best friends house before when my ex showed up ... it is indeed a weird feeling

Sounds like Rick wised up ;)

Did not want to type all this back out so I grabbed it from another thread. ;)

I just can't get into this trip. The whole thing started off very weird. After the kids got engaged, rick received a card from Jason's parents saying the usual nice stuff like can't wait to meet you and how much they love Erica. The usual stuff. I'm. Not. Mentioned. At. All... Not even in the addressed to.

They post the summer BBQ event and send out the invites through FB. Rick gets invited. Even though the mother of the groom and I are friends on there, I. Don't. Get. Invited.

Rick asked Erica what was up with all the above? Later that night the FB invitation was issued.

Rick's ex is going and was the first invite from Erica's family.

Yeah, not feeling the joy in this trip.

Yep, you got sent to timeout. Everyone needs at least one "ex" it makes things so interesting. Thankfully I've finished paying mine off. Boy, was that a ripoff. Tried my best to get someone to take over payments.:D

Robin I'm sorry your being treated that way. I don't have an ex-husband only been married once but I'm still friends with all my ex-boyfriends and my husbands ex-girlfriends. When you live in a small town, you don't get to bury those kinds of feelings you have to deal with them no matter how hard the break up was you have to face it and deal with it. In a small town you can't do the "out of sight out of mind" kind of thinking. They are always there and as the years go by they become involved in other ways in your family.

It's hard in the beginning but now my husbands ex's 1 is my very good friend and 1 is my hair stylist. He always liked the same type person so I always have alot in common with them. LOL We all are good friends.

My ex's are 1 is the pastor now  didn't see that one coming but he is great, 1 is married to my cousin so he is part of the family now LOL, 1 was my son's junior football coach (the hardest my husband had to deal with since at one point was my son's idol) and 1 is my son's best friends father so they spend the night at each others house alot.

The best thing I've ever seen is when you can have a good ex that is still apart of the family. I have several friends who for various reasons have divorced......too young, pregnant and married because they thought they had too. Now the original husband, wife and child now have a new husband and wife with children of their own. They kind of become just a bigger family. The main reason for this is because the first child is sibling to the other 3 children even though those children are not siblings to each other they kind of feel that way because of the first sibling. So both familes raise them together and attend family get together with their ex's family. It seems strange but it really works out best for the kids.

Oh and by the way good morning Lurkers. ;)

    Morning all!! :)
Jeff - *B* if that was the solid one. Although the solid may show more scratches or dings. Just an afterthought.

Dave - no spoilers... :D I may actually watch that one. Especially since you said it's good. :)

    Robin -

....it's already HOT AND MUGGY here....and I need to go pick up the poop in the yard. :( THANKFULLY, I try to stay on top of that chore, so hopefully it won't be too bad. Can't really believe I just shared that with you all. Ah well, you know me!!!

So, I've been wanting to find an exercise routine that I can actually stick with. I truthfully only really would like to lose a few pounds, but I DEFINITELY need to tone up, and get this body moving.

A book I'm reading HIGHLY recommends T.Tapp (Tapp being her last name, no tap dancing  )
Welcome to T-Tapp . . . The Wellness Workout That Works!
I did SEVERAL of the freebies I could find on You Tube yesterday, have spent quite a bit of time reading/researching around the internet, and I'm only finding great (overall) reviews, and success stories.
Lots of "mom" blogs who have tried it, not expecting it to work, but really losing inches, meeting their targets, and absolutely LOVING it.
From what I've read, it's a no-impact exercise program that is also supposed to be fabulous for seniors, people who suffer with fibromyalgia, thyroid issues (<-- me ), back issues(<-- me ), knee issues, etc.

I really liked what I did yesterday, just the freebies, so I'm going to order and try it for myself, but just curious if anyone has heard of it, or even tried it. Would love feedback if you have. ;)
I realize that most ANY program combined with healthy eating habits will work, so no illusions there, but like I said, just curious if anyone has tried it, or knows anything about it.

Wow Evie, you just completely described the small town where I grew up!
How are you getting along?? Was this your first week back to work, or am I a week behind?

Off to do a couple things. Back in a bit. ;)

I've completed 2 weeks back to work. I've done good except for Friday, it was a pretty rough day but I didn't have an attack so that is good. Tuesday I'll be 1 whole month without an attack I'm looking forward to being 2 months because they said "after an attack you can still have attacks for up to 2 months." I really want to reach that mark. :D

Lori, I hope the T-Tapp works for you. I've never heard of it but with anything new I like to pull it up on Amazon and read the negative reviews with an open mind. You learn more this way. Hopefully I'll be starting an exercise regimen in October so let me know what you find that you like. :)
