I know exactly what you mean.

....NOW, I only do granny square type throws/blankets. Easy to pick up and put down, only a few stitches to remember and count too. You don't have to refer to a pattern to figure out where to go next...just a whole lot easier. Kind of boring sometimes, but I get the satisfaction from the actual crocheting part, just a relaxing rhythm and repetitive type motion.

I do have another pattern that I love for scarves. The first base row is just a chain stitch, I'll have to find my pattern to say how many to start with though. But the rest of the time you alternate double crochet, with single crochet. It forms a really interesting and pleasing pattern, and it has a nice flow and rhythm to it also.

Thanks for the well wishes!! I won't work too hard, I promise. :D

Well, I'm heading out. If I can muster a data signal out there, I'll try to pop in later, but I never know if I'll have one or not. :)

Have a wonderful rest of the day everyone. :)

I do love love love scarfs! Torey made me the prettiest purple one for Christmas!

My go to pattern is for broomstick lace. Chain to the length you want. Make a row of single crochet. Without turning, reach back through each crochet and draw up a loop that you put over a giant needle (or if it is for a king/queen or double a smooth broomstick). When you get to the end, remove 3 to 5 loops, twist gently and single crochet 3 to 5 across the top, repeating til you get them all off. Repeat until it is the size you want. I have made 2 king size, one for my mom and 1 for my MIL... always tell myself I will do one for me someday... yeah... someday...

Nice site Lori! Just a few quick seconds of video and my mind was straight on which was single, double, etc. That is my actual problem, I can never remember how many wraps for which stitch! You'd think by this point in life it would have found a spot to stick by now!

I bought the laminated cheat sheet book for crochet stitches. My grandmother taught me to crochet but she could never get me to stay steady on the pressure........I get loose then tight. :) However I can do filet crochet beautifully. Now if my eyes would return to 20/20. ;)

Beautiful Evie!!! You have a wonderful day also :)

Happy Independence Day Evie!
Hope you are feeling well today and can enjoy the holiday! {{hugs}}

Thank you. I've been feeling really good the last couple of days. This rest and more sleep has done alot for me so far. I'm having to remember to take my medicine and refrain from doing anything just because I feel better. LOL At least I'm going uphill for a change. ;)

That's wonderful to hear Evie, I sincerely hope this works well for you and you can get back to your old self :)

And yes, just because you feel better is no excuse for over-doing too early! {{{hugs}}}! Just so glad you're feeling better!

Reading the patterns makes me crazy! My pressure is the exact same as my mom's was. I was always able to pick up her work and finish it and she could pick up mine. You couldn't tell the difference. I have so many patterns saved to my pintrest, I just need to get my hook and yarn out and start!

Heard your having a party today :)

The boys have gone to get their hairs cut :)

I'm insisting on store bought fried chicken for dinner...

    Happy 4th GG!

The chicken sounds good to me! It's only 10 here but that roast is convincing me I'm about to starve.

That site has a pattern for everything! I like that 1/2 skein cowl. It would make it so that you could have several. I'm going to have to break down and do some crocheting! Maybe with a bit of practice on some simple patterns I could do the tea cozy I am wanting...:?:

We don't have a single plan today. :) I have one more goal, to put my laundry away and I have been gathering a bit here and a bit there as I get up and move around so it is slowly getting done.:)

Yes we are, and I have no idea how many people will be here
With as many little kid's that will be here I'm thinking we need to turn off the A/C and just leave the door open :?:
You all know how they are about running in & out.

Fried chicken sounds good, I still have no idea what we are having
