First,
Good Morning lurkers.
Secondly, Robino1. I will be flying the last of this month to the Big Easy and I wanted to know about my e-cigs. Do you put yours in your carryon or checked? What type mod do you bring. I want to bring my VTR and a spare battery. I certainly don't want some screener to end up with it. I assume I either have to keep juice under 100 ml or put it in checked baggage.
Thanks
First, Robin is fine. You don't need to type Robino1.
Ok, now that that's out of the way.
Mods always carry on. Batteries especially. They do not want batteries in the hold of the plane. I don't know if it is necessary but I always lay my PV's out in the open on top of my purse as they go through screening. I even have a filled Kayfun still attached to one and have never had a problem with it.
Pretty much whatever fits into a quart ziplock bag will be ok. Remember though, you can only have one ziplock bag for all liquids. So all my toiletries and liquids go into checked but my eliquid is in my carryon.
I find that the freezer bags hold up better and if there is any leakage, there is less chance for it to get out of the Baggie.
I take 2 ProVari, 2 Kayfun lite and a couple of Vivi nova's just in case. This trip I am bringing 2 50ml bottles of eliquid.
The nova and a KFL will be empty and ready for filling if I need them. As I mentioned above, one of the KFL's will be filled but it does want to try to leak on the flight. An extra Baggie is always in my purse but what I do is hold onto it during flight and keep the air intake hole facing up and at a downward angle. I have taken the drip tip off and stuck a tiny wad of paper towel or napkin in it and just held it upside down and that kept it from leaking.
Most things will try to leak from the pressure on flights.
Yeah, all my vape stuff goes with me in my carry on. I've had luggage lost before and hubby has had a camera stolen out of his checked bag once. We do not put anything of value in checked.
Relax! TSA knows about Ecigs and they've seen just about all of them.

. I'm making it a personal goal to get them familiar with the non-cig alikes

Been through so many airports I couldnt name them all.
A couple of weeks ago we flew to North Carolina. I figure I would leave the one PV in the carry on. Should have put it in the open like I usually do. They had to check it out. No biggie. They just opened the bag and did a swab test on it. By itself in the pocket of the bag, it probably resembles a pipe bomb.

Oh well.
Enjoy NOLA! I've always wanted to go there! I will get there someday!
