just got off the phone....so sometime between 1 and 3 somebody will be out to fix my garage....$80 for inspection/service call/ect and then + $$ for any parts or remote replacements....not as bad as i thought it'd be
esp since another site I was looking at had a $75 off coupon

reading online it seems that the springs are sprung 
noticed today that on the left side outside there's a wire/cord sticking out the side of the garage.....
looking inside it appears to go up to a like pullie system that i assume is what online trouble shooting e-how called springs....looks like they've come unwound so hopefully a simple fix of just rewinding and tightening but I wouldn't know how/where to start so i'll leave it to the pros even if it does mean dishing out some dough....at $100 better than I was really thinking, i was figuring 200 or more....
just figures though....seems I can't catch a break lately....Karla's talking aobut moving out which means there won't be anyone to watch Avery before/after school....and my boss will try to work with me but means I'll lose hours since I won't be able to work 2nds anymore and can't come in til 9am so I can put avery on the bus and then need to be back home by 3:20 to get her off of the bus....so either be working some weird hours or stuck on 3rds and trying to pick up hours at other stores.....
I just don't know anymore....plus I really don't make enough at this job....debating to call my district manager and see what can be done (yeah right) about getting me a raise otherwise I'll be having to change jobs.....even if he can get me a raise I doubt it'll even be worth it. After 8 1/2 yrs there I still don't even make $10/hr....I really need to be making at minimum $13/hr....
yeah I wasn't doing so well Friday and Saturday....everything just kinda hit me and hit me hard....
oh well....life goes on, one way or another...things will work out somehow...just frustrating at the moment....

but I did tell them I wouldn't be there until after they've had lunch
It's Monday so it'll be a looong afternoon!
so like with everything else in this house the garage door was poorly built....the spring completely broke in half....so what was 80 + parts became $300the door was built with only one spring when it's called for two....then while they were taking the spring and rod apart found out that yet again poorly built...they used plastic gears and whatnots that have decayed and started eating into the metal rod so now all that needs replaced
$660 later I now have a new garage door...well the door itself is original, thankfully they said that's the best door out there...short of someone driving through it, it won't break!
well it works now.....and has a lifetime warranty.....
can I go cry now......the 2 guys here working on the door were almost floored when I told them it's only at max 7 years old....
but say that from now on there shouldn't be any more problems and if by chance (given my luck) it is a lifetime warranty so it'll be fixed that same day within 4 hours of me calling them
