Lurker's Chit Chat Thread # 5

It's been really a great spring/summer so far. The corn in the fields looks AWESOME. So, of course there was a grumpy farmer in yesterday complaining that they're predicting $4 a bushel for corn, and how everyone is going to have to sit on that (keep it in their silos) until the price is better. I guess that it's bad for them, but it also just goes to show that sometimes there's just NO pleasing some people.

Course, it's not over until it's actually harvested. I've seen years where the corn (and other crops) are just beautiful, and we get severe storms that will lay down an entire field of corn before it's been harvested.

In case you're wondering, I'm not a farmer. Just kind of in the middle of "farm country".

Enjoy it while you have the coolness. Makes me wonder what winter (bad word!!!!!!) will be like for you northern people this year.

I'm reading an AWESOME book about taking care of ourselves. All aspects. Physical, mental, and spiritual. It's really good, and I highly recommend it.

I got the kindle version. It's a super easy read, and great info! Not sure if it's anything "new", at least not really to me. But the way she explains things is so very clear and down to earth, that I think it is going to be the kick in the .......in a good way....that I've really needed.

Hi ya Supergrover. I don't hang out at Halo lately either. I'm doing real good. How are you and Scarlett? Aren't you having another baby? It is really good seeing you again.

Yeah, doing great, wife is preg with our boy 7 weeks now, we are set on Kallen for his name.
Scarlett is as silly as ever, she knows her ABCs at 19m old, and can almost count to 10, has her favorite books memorized and knows every animal sound...including what does the fox say, which is friggin hilarious.

I had to stop vaping my halo juice, too much pg, and you know me, I am not a PG kinda guy
nah for real though high pg is irritating my throat bad in the RDAs, which is all I use now.
So I went to High VG I cant vape anything with higher that 50% pg, but most of my stuff now is 10-20 pg, 80-90 VG

And Amanda sent me some Rayon and OMG my juice is even better tasting now, was using cotton.

Yup, since I put down the analogs I have been eating better, working out more, doing yoga, Stand up paddle board almost every morning then a swim in the lake.
I look younger than my younger brother now lol. Now if I could stop this grey hair from infiltrating my noggen I would be 30 again lol.

I grew up in NJ Farm Country, I lubs me some sweet white corn.

I'm sorry about your PG problem a lot of people seem to have developed that lately. And you know me I prefer to have things a little more VG too.

Hi Evie! I can't complain, found out both DH and I need to work on our diet and exercise when the nurse called with the results to our blood work from last week. I think if I were honest, I would have to admit I already knew that. They need to up my thyroid meds, knew that too. The good news is there were no results I wasn't already expecting and in spite of letting myself gain a bit too much lately, I still haven't followed in my familial habit of diabetes so I am a happy little soul!

Things are looking up as far as health goes at least. Now a good job would be an excellent addition to the near future! Giving thanks for each day as it comes.

Yes Evie, I know you are learning new life style and making the different choices. By the sounds of things your "rest" has helped a good bit, now if you can keep yourself from over doing it again. Why is it so hard to do what is right for ourselves?

I already knew I should be making better choices, this is just getting a nudge into the right direction. Poor DH, he does love his chocolate and candy so that will be a bit harder for him. He also still smokes as well as vapes so that is another hard choice to make. I think it is time to make some higher nic juice again. Maybe he dropped his level before he was quite ready... It is worth a try anyway.
