LOL! It's 100 degrees today and we haven't reached our afternoon high. Last night is was 86 when we went to bed at 11:30. We are working on getting the van packed. You carry a bit out and put it where you want it, go back to the house and sit and recover, then do it again...:tumble:

Hello lurkers! :)
Dry heat or not....that's HOT.

See I read that & think, yeah sounds nice. However if I were there I'd complain that the sun hates me & wants to see me suffer a painful death.
Pretty sure you'd find more to complain about than just the weather. ;) :D

Welp, I'm off for that nap now....for reals. :)

Drive away to pikes peak. Seems more habitable than where ya are

Several years ago we lived near Carlsbad, New Mexico. I remember a day there when it was 119 degrees. DH and the oldest DS were digging post holes for a fence and when the radio announcer said what the temperature was, they quit and came home.

DH is having a blast!! He said it cost $10 to get in the gate today. He said that there are only about 6 spectators even there.
He said you can walk anywhere you want, take pictures, the drivers will speak to you, said one even thanked them for coming out to the track today.
Live feed for qualifying which is going on now.

He's fine sweetie, no effect apparently. He was a bit sluggish for a bit after but now, wouldn't know anything to look at him.
Surprised at how quick he turned around.
Oh, that's AWESOME news!!!

Guess I'll go find something to eat.

Whatever ya find, bring enough for us all!!

Thanks for asking too :)

Hey Welsh, Bruce just ran into town to get fuel ($3.56 a gallon, for those who are interested) and the bank clock says it is 107 degrees. Does this mean when you come to see me it will be in the winter?

Glad to hear your grandfather is doing well!:)

Lori, I agree with Welsh bring enough for all of us please! It's too hot to cook anything again this evening. Maybe breakfast for supper here. I have 3 pounds of bacon cooked so if we microwave an egg and have toast no heating up the house! :p

Wheez, you can borrow my sweater anytime you like. ;) Don't want you turning blue from the cold!

Well, ya can tell Bruce to lie next time, it'll be too late to turn around when I'm already there. Seeing as it's out there now, winter it is, bet it'll still be way too hot for me

Beef and bean nachos, with pico de gallo, and cheese sauce from the local Mexican restaurant. PLENTY FOR EVERYONE!

Yes, thankfully! He talked like the weather was great.

I live in the mountains. It's 70 and breezy today and people are walking around in tank tops and shorts. High summer here! LOL
